Parrises squares PvP!

Or, Parisi Squares, whichever you prefer...

Since it's Superbowl day for all the hand-egg fans, I thought I would toss out a random thought...

What would people think of a ground PvP map that was perhaps a capture-and-hold scenario that was a Parisi Squares match, rather than an actual "combat".

Couch it in the explanation of a holodeck, and maybe have some weapon restrictions (No energy weapons, like in the Coliseum episode) and lets get our 25th century sport on!

Anyway, just an idea. Thoughts?

I think they need to figure out what the rules of Parises Squares actually are before it gets put into a game. AFAIK, the only thing really mentioned about it is that it's some sort of physical contact sport. For all I know, maybe the field is fought over control of two Reeses Cups and the "Squares" don't refer to a geometric shape, but rather some sort a derogatory term for the people who get tagged "out".

True, but look at how the Devs handled Dabo.

So far we know it involves ramps that go high into the air, ion mallets, and players wearing padding. Which the padding is likely for falls.

    My take this is either:

    1) A type of dodgeball where you teams are on platforms and you hit "Squares" back and forth, trying to make players miss or purposely knock them down.

    2) A type of arena game that takes place on one large platform and teams have to rush to hit a square with a mallet. So you would have tackling or nudging to prevent someone from htiting the objective. Which could explain the roughhousing that warranted injuries.
