I saw on a post on some forum, some talk about people getting 30 free days when they upgrade to a paid account. Apparently it has something to do with 60 day time cards.
I am a Pensioner and I would like to upgrade, but how do I get the 30 free days, if there is at all any. I am holding off buying anything until I get a reply, and I do really want to upgrade asap, so if I could get a quick reply, I would very much appreciate it, Thank you

I'm not aware of 30 free days for gold accounts, but if you buy a boxed or digital copy of the game from any retailer, you get 30 days included, and usually with some extra bonus gift or two. Several months after the game came out I bought a retail copy for $5. So instead of paying $15 for a month, I got it cheaper. And a couple free gifts to boot.
And the 60 day thing was a promotion months ago. Maybe almost a year ago. There was a forum uproar about it.

If you have not applied a retail key to the account there is a guy in Portugal selling the retail key ( via email ) for £4.99 and applying that key to a silver account will upgrade you to gold for 30 days and give you 400 cryptic points in that period. It's not free but it's half the price of subscribing via Cryptic for a month.
You sued to be able to apply a retail key as often as you liked, it's how I subbed to CO by buying a new game for £2 every month and getting free 500 c points each time a key was applied. Cryptic were aware of this and allowed it but it's since changed that you can apply a retail key only once so if you want to remain gold unless you buy a game card elsewhere you are forced to pay Cryptic the full subscription fee.
Small thing you left out. Retail keys of different types stack. If he buys a CE, standard, and DDE (Although it's getting harder to find DDE still for sell) then he'd get 90 days from the 3 types.
