What's with the Servers today?

Haven't seen such high lag since STO's launch, it's so bad that when I logged out to switch characters it says another of my characters is still being used. (In short, I can't get back in).

When can we see expect fix?

Well apparently thats just whats it, the servers are at maximum capacity. Which in a way is a good thing. But the servers canna handle it. :p

The exchange is basically useless. I cannot get a search to go through.

This is also the first weekend since STO has been added to Steam's F2P section.

its not that sto got more players. they just reduced the size of the clusters to spare money. thats what they did the last weeks when there was "maintenance". in fact it was "we reduce serverclusters, cause they are all empty". now we suddenly have to wait when we login, cause they reduced everything to minimum. now theres no upward capacity anymore. thats the result now.

As I said, the servers canna handle it and sure enough. :P

If Cryptic did get rid of empty clusters, then they surely better put some back to perpare for things like today. Because when the new Featured Events go live, it probablly will be the same.

it was reported earlier that a couple of gold had to wait, not long by their accounts but did indeed have to wait. AFAIK, that isn't supposed to happen. (posts were in the server crash thread)

As I posted on a few of those threads, this should still happen. Gold members get to the front of the line priority (like the LTS did in the past), but aren't going to be able to overload an already overloaded system. That wouldn't make sense. From my understanding, the server has a "soft limit" which kicks in to start limiting silver players access (with a queue), then at the hard limit it smacks gold members with it as well.

However the gold members are given priority over silver members. This may be true, this may not be true but this is my understanding on it.
