Bugs - Your short list

Hey I know we have a lot of bug threads floating around, I havent seen one thread which lists all the bugs in one spot. It is my intention to use this to add all the bugs to the top post for easy viewing as people add them in via their posts.

I'll organize them and color code them as well as time goes on.

For this I will reserve two posts below.

I'll start:

STF/Borg related
  • Invisible Super Torpedoes, being blown up all of a sudden with a massive strike but the offending torpedo was never visible (i.e no chance to shoot it down)

COMBAT
  • New bug on hybrid weapons gives 75% accuracy.
  • Autofire broken - can no longer right click on a weapon to toggle auto fire - fixed
  • BOFFS graphics glitch related to firing their weapons. They appear to be trying to fire, but no fire is seen coming from their weapon.
ART
  • Inability to alter costume for KDF marauding reward boff
  • cant change costume for Borg and Reman Boff

SYSTEMS
  • Being randomly beamed to the shipyard when you try to transport to the First City
  • Unusually long load times at ESD and DS9
  • Ground combat powers become unusable intermittently (locked out)
  • Boff powers are sometimes not available in your powers list or seen in your power bar, until you reslot the offending BO.
  • Persons are being randomly kicked from teams and/or the team is randomly disbanding. Occurs in PVP and STF
  • Field Consoles are being forcibly removed from engineering slots, even though stated that this would not happen, in release notes.
  • Vivox chat stops working in fleet, after joining a team.
  • The exchange is not displaying items you posted for sale, even after it says that you successfully posted them.

USER INTERFACE
  • Exchange Search ('All' Category, 'Any' Quality) - thanks Bmaxwell
  • Mouse Tool tip when hovering over Buff / Debuff icons (above your ship display, below enemy ship display)
  • The "SKILL" button in the top left hand corner is not working to open player skills.

ZONES & MISSIONS
  • KER'RAT: Borg ships sometimes get stuck in encryption beacons making them unable to be targeted (line of sight is blocked)

    1) Broken autofire

    1. stuck at loading screen for DS9 and Sol Starbase
    2. cant change costume for Borg and Reman Boff
    3. switching ship, Boff missing from assigned slot

    ground combat skill bar lockout... this is game breaking when combined with:

    unable to load map from map manager...

    since you have to exit your current ground map to reset your ability to use skills, the map manager bug will not let you back into the map you just left or that mission period. Until some magic happens somewhere and suddenly it becomes unlocked.

    Ground combat character making firing gesture (like a epileptic sign linguist) but weapons do not fire. This happens all the time and the character portrait show no ill combat effect affecting character.

    could the following persons elaborate on the following bugs

    defendra: I am not sure what you mean by epileptic sign, could you be more descriptive? Exactly what it does or what happens and not what it looks like?

    Sir Knight: Could you mention what you were doing when it happened, how often you have encountered it, and if all the buttons look greyed out like you were stunned?

    papragu: Care to elaborate? If you switch ships to a different ship, your boffs get shuffled around because the bridge stations are different. I.e your current ship might have in a commander tactical, your new ship might only have a LT tactical station.

    in the "affterlife" Episode mission, no matter what I do, if the hostile does that area effect fire centered on me, I"M DEAD, PERIOD.

    only times I'm not is if I already have a medical generator there, AND am not in mid action, AND run away from the area as soon as it hits.AND a BOff comes over tho get the fire that's stuck to me off, AND I'm not the target of any hostiles (that last one I can't seem to manage though I do good on all the other parts, ending with about 5hp left, and then a hostile hits mee as I try to heal up, and poff, dead.

    this is on every difficulty, no matter what, Iif that area effect fire attack hits beside me, I might as well just die and call for help, all other actions are a waste of time.

    note: this is compoundingly flustrateing with

    1) autfire not working

    because now I can't run around like a mad woman all over to avoid getting that AoE fire on me, and fire and use other abilitys, because I'm stuck manualy fireing... I only have so many fingers here. (and the ones that press 1 and 2 are getting REALLY TIRED)

    The thing with switching ships. The officers are assigned but when u go into space the slots are shown empty not all just 1 or 2 or the officers are shown but the skills are not usable.

    Other bugs i forgot:

    in STFs sometimes the whole team gets disbanded.

    insane one shot kills

    you are sure that you have assigned the correct rank right? if you assign a high ranking Commander BO to a LT ranked station, all his powers will not be usable in that station.

    No, I can second experiencing what he's talking about. Even with boffs slotted appropriately, occasionally their abilities simply won't be there on the bar or even in your skill list until you unslot and reslot them.

    removed and put where? are you one of the persons who left them in the engineering slot so you can keep them there? Once they get moved they cant go back since they are now science consoles.

    cyres, i am uncertain if what you describe is an incredibly hard mission, or an enemy power not working properly. Could you demo record it and post a video so I can see? Also it might help to ticket that one. You might ask, why not ticket all of these? Well it is a reference for people to see what cryptic should be aware of etc etc...also i will put it in under strange behaviour but since i do not know the mission of which you speak its hard for me to see the bug.

    I have ships that still have one in the engineering slots. The last statement from a dev on the matter is that they will remain in the engineering slot until removed by the player. When will this be fixed to be true?

    Has anyone else noticed that when fighting the Borg in Ker'rat that probes, spheres, and even cubes get stuck in the encryption beacons allowing them to fire on you to their little assimilated heart's content but not being able to be fired on? I've heard a few people in game mention it, but I'm wondering if I'm the only one who seems to experience this pretty much daily. (I've even gotten stuck in them myself which was exciting). Nothing beats trying to slowly crawl away from the invincible little (enter curse word here).

    sum: ive added that anomaly. Tho i reckon that although they stated it would not happen, BECAUSE it has happened now, they will not spend resources to get them to move back into slots where they are no longer meant for. Even tho they said yeh they wont move until you move them, i really doubt they will put them back since they wanted them gone from engineering consoles anyway :)

    I (and several others) have had problems posting on the Exchange. When typing the amount, moving the item, and posting the sale, I get a message that says item posted successfully; however, when trying to look it up (or having another, non-fleet, non-teamed player look as well), it cannot be found. I do not know if anyone is able to see the item to even make the purchase.

    Another issue is that Vivox Voice Chat stopped working while in FLEET. It does work in TEAM, but then one can only address a specific team of 5 people and is not able to address the entire Fleet. I have the ability to host a VENT server from my computer, but it develops a lag after a couple of hours of play. Vivox In-Game Voice Chat has been really helpful.

    Of the two, the Exchange problem is the most critical.

    Scott, I put in your exchange bug, but a question on the vivox, does it stop working after you join and have left a team? It no longer works in fleet, WHILE you are in a team? Or it no longer works in fleet for you period now?

    Evidently you never fixed this from two years ago: Unable to start game client: %1 is not a valid Win32 application. I've attempted every possible fix backwards and forwards five times tonight but it simply will not run the application.

    Ground bug

    unable to fire/use anything ,able to walk around and rest,only solution to restart

    space bug/s



    stf

    starting map then getting frozen for up to minute (on start only)

    getting kicked from team for no reason

    1 hour cooldown after completing any stf (including optionals)

    no option for transwarp to defera invasion ,not sure if this is normal but why have option if it doesn't work

    this is annoying one


    Error] You have been idle for over 10 minutes. If idle for 15 minutes total, you will be automatically logged out.

    the one hour cool down on completion of stf is normal, the cool down should only exist the same mission you took however.

    defera invasion is only available at certain times, the transwarp button is not worknig when it is available? Check the times to see if the event is marked as ended.

    could you provide more information on you being unable to fire/use anything? what happens on the screen that you can describe? is your power bar greyed out etc? y
