A counter to tell us how many fighters we have active

When I'm flying my carrier, I just always spam my fighters whenever the cooldown is finished, as I cant normally tell how many I have active at the moment. This is during stf's/ mirror events where there are 4 other players, thier pets, and the enemy along with THIER pets too. A simple number on the actual launch button for each hangar bay woulld be perfect. So If I have max shield drones and toduj fighters active, a little 6 would be on the fighter launch icon and a 4 on the drone icon. Or, if a couple have been shot down, a 4 on the fighters and a 3 on drones( or whatever amount is active).

A good idea, and a good solution. Make it so, Cryptic!

The first time I flew a carrier, I thought of the Protoss carriers in Starcraft. They have an icon with a counter, and whenever it disp below max you can select it to produce more. I realize that's a different game type and functionality, but the idea was sound. An indication would in fact be neat, especially for situations like the OP describes with multiple carriers in the area. Fighters can be a nightmare to count, so I usually just launch a wave whenever the power is off cooldown. At least the frigates are easy to find.

I do the same thing, the bummer is, is that if you have all 6 fighters for one bay alive, and go ahead and launch 3 more, that makes 3 that are already on an enemy and doing damage disappear. Then your fighters are doing less damage until the new batch travels to it's destination( which isnt guaranteed to be the enemy they were on when you launched the new batch).

Maybe devs could allow us to change the color of the labels of our pets, at least that way we can get a rough guesstimate of what we have out there in a glance.

The counter should be implemented. It should be implemented on the MVAM as well, with health bars, maybe individual tracking would be better.

Thats sounds good too. Once the mechanic is ingame, it would be easy to make it work for any pets you may have.
