It's a feature, but don't use it while approaching a planet; you'll end up like voyager and have to complete all elite STFs alone just with a shuttle to salvage the tech to alter timeline and get your ship back, :eek:

Actually, that reminds me. If you have an intrepid of bellephoron, and you go to slipstream, it should spawn a delta flyer that flies in front of you.
It's slower than Full Impulse, but it's pretty damn fun. Why don't we try and think of ways to keep it balanced so Cryptic will at least consider it?
Obviously, Tractor Beam would have to disable it. In combat, maybe add a chance to fail or cause hull stress, like in the Star Trek: Voyager episodes "Hope and Fear" and "Timeless." Get away quickly, but with decreased duration, and it also inflicts considerable damage to your ship.
