Please Put PvE Queue Back on Bar

I realize that there's only a limited amount of space on the button bar under the minimap, but surely there's a way to keep the PvE button up there with the PvP queue. My first instinct is to ask why we NEED two store buttons, but I imagine the new owners have certain... priorities and demands.

How's this, then - just go with the (C) and <> icons, one button each, rather than repeating "STORE" twice? That's one space-eating redundancy eliminated right there, and that alone would leave enough room for a PvE button.

I welcome other suggestions, and would also be interested in an official explanation of any zero-flexibility instructions the Devs have been given.

i agree i would like the pve button to remain where it was should have put the dilithium store in the dropdown menu rather than moving the pve to the drop down menu

I have to agree that if part of the pointg of the F2P changever is to get more players making friends and gouping in game - taking the PvE queue button off the mini-map is a BAD decision. I realize yo guys want/need to highlight the stores (and the exchange) to bring in the money - but I think there should be a way to redo the buttons, keep them legible; and bring the PvE button back to the minimap.

Agreed. The PvE button is more important and frequently used then the Store.
At least merge the PvE button in there with the PvP one.

I too require the PVE button to come back and move the dilithium store to somewhere else or remove pvp button because i will never click that but pve i would due to stfs.

Since I doubt they'll remove the store button, let's just swap the position of the PvE and PvP buttons. ;)

I have to agree with this

Not much of a PVPer myself, it would be nice to be able to see the PvE menu back under the mini map, even if you just take out the "Store" text on the buttons to make room

I too like the idea of both PVP and PVE sharing the same button.

    I agree.

I use the PvE queue regularly. I have never cared about the Dilithium store and could find it just fine without it having a button. Putting something of limited use in place of something of frequent and regular use is poor UI design.

At the very least, swap them back. Ideally, let us control which are buttons and which are in the drop-down arrow.

This is also what I think would be for the best. The Dilithium Store button is just awkward there. DOff, PvE and PvP Queue buttons are actually needed all the time. The dilithium store button becomes obsolete quite quickly after you start doing STFs. It already is for practically all older players.

Or, if you absolutely feel you need to have it in a prominent location, make the BOff, PvE and PvP queue buttons slightly taller, and have the D-Store button be below the C-Store. Or just make the other buttons slightly narrower and split the C-Store button to 2 small buttons for C-Store and D-Store. One with the C-Point icon and one with the Dilithium icon, but bring back the PvE queue back to where it was.

I also ask that the PvE button be return back to the 'front' part of the Mini-map area, instead of being hidden behind a drop down box, considering that the PvE button is used Multiple times a day, where as the D-store might be used 1x a day at most under the best of circumstances. Would it not be a bit more common sense to put more 'content-based' stuff that is repeatable at the forefront instead of 'time-gated' stuff in front?

I figure the store buttons aren't going away - orders from on high. So I'm more focused on ways for them to coexist with the button(s) I do want and use regularly.

But who's Bright idea was it to remove the PvE button In The First Place, to begin with? Especially with something as personally useless as the D-store, instead of leaving it only on ESD?

As I've said all along, I imagine that the Devs were told/ordered to do so by PWE.

I agree that the interface was significantly better before this last change.

Having a dilithium gear store that can be accessed from anywhere just seems wrong to me - it was fine with just the ones on ESD/First City. Also, how does the gear actually get to the ship, if you open the store in the middle of nowhere? It's not replicable, and... well, it just doesn't make sense from a lore POV, in my opinion.

If it is going to exist, it shouldn't mess up the interface. The previous button positioning was so much better, with DOffs and PvE nice and prominent. They should at least put the dilithium store on the drop-down menu or, if it has to be visible on the main UI, make PvE and PvP queues two tabs of a single queues window, with PvE the default.

Also, the drop-down button seems to be smaller than it was before. It shouldn't be, there's lots of wasted space on the dilithium store button.

Not only do I dislike the loss of the PvE button, the TRIBBLE dilithium store doesn't carry antiproton ship weapons.

Agreed. Put the PVE button back.

And btw, the dilithium store prices are cheaper here than at the actual vendor. I believe the prices from the minimap store are the crafting prices - except you don't need to craft it. Maybe they finally put in on-ship crafting? lol

Put it back like the others have said, or let me choose what buttons go there. I need the queue much more than I need the stores, even though I may use them. My need for the dilithium store is very very low whereas my need for the PVE button is very high.

How could this have slipped through testing? I understand how the money grubbing button got there, that I completely understand. But a button that I would estimate at least half of all end-game players hit half a dozen times a day is buried under another button?? Btw I'm not crapping on those who put the work into this game making it better, just the mgmt. who makes boneheaded money decisions. Thanks in advance to all you blue collars who I'm sure are already at work to fix this mgmt frackup!

Btw money grubbing mgmt people have mothers too. They just didn't get as much love as the rest of us did ;)

I don't like the dilithium store button. It would have made more sense in the drop down menue. Maybe it was moved by mistake:o?

I agree, please put the pve button back.

Someone suggested the Stores be combined and use a tab for the c-store and another tab for the dilith store on the same interface panel this sounded like a good idea to me.

Why is there a new button to shortcut to the dilithium store?

By putting it there and moving everything over by one, It has replaced one of the most useful buttons in the entire UI- the PvE queue window. Now you have to click the drop down arrow and select PvE queues.

Not only is this new "dilithium store" incredibly immersion breaking in that it seems to be some magical exists-everywhere store that lets you buy new weapons even when in battle, it has now reduced ease of access to one of the currently most heavily used areas of the game- STFs. If we're going to get this "magical ebay" for dilithium items, can we also get new magical stores for things like crafting, too?

At the very least replace the PvP queue button with the PvE queue button. If you HAVE to TRIBBLE people over to hock your cheesy wares, I'd wager there are far fewer players playing PvP than PvE, and thus well.... "the needs of the many..." you get the picture.

Don't turn this into a tired old PvP vs. PvE argument. Let's keep this a C-Store vs. Playing Content argument like good civilized folk.

There's also another thread on this very topic, but I agree - revert this change peeps.

Why would I goto the Dilithium store? It's all stuff that's as good or worse than what I've got or am already getting as a VA. It's nice for newbs, sure but I don't want it. I want to click on the PvE queue. I'd rather have that up than the PvP Queue even.

Oh, and your Freudian slip didn't go un-noticed. When I mouse over the Dilithium store it says "C-Store" :P

Revert the UI please it's just a silly change and broke something that wasn't broken.

Oh, and although I'm sure it's not connected I thought it was funny that the Dilithium per C-Point costs PLUMMETED today after the Dilithium store was added to the minimap. I can now do half the work to get C-Points that I had to two weeks ago.

So I guess that's a good thing at least.

Making it customisable would solve all the problems... oh, except more work to code the customisation menu for that thing.

Can we resize the minimap independently of the other UI elements too at the same time?

Why not create a second line of buttons:
In the first line you'd have the DOffs/PvE/PvP buttons.
In the second line there'd be the C-store/dilithium-store/dilithium-exchange buttons.

Two button-lines like this would look LESS cramped but more logical.

Folks who are asking for a customizable menu because they think they'll be allowed to remove the store buttons entirely: do you really believe they'll let you do that?

I'm more focused on getting important (to me) convenience and functionality restored, not trying to completely reverse decisions that were almost surely made at a higher level. Accept what is and try to work with it.
