Just wondering what happened to them. We used to be able to get them for merits, but now it's tokens only? That's fine for new characters, since they get a bunch leveling up, but what about current VAs? Is there a way to respec without paying money?

If not, that's pretty crappy. They should offer it for a Dilithium amount, or for some sort of

You can always use the Dilithium Exchange to purchase C-Points.... C-Store has the 'Captain Retrain Token' for 400 C-Points

Yes, that's true, but grinding that much dilithium is not feasible. I've only hit the 8,000 a day once since I returned to the game a few weeks ago. Even if I was able to somehow get 8k a day, it'd take me 12.5 days to get 400 points (assuming 250 Dilithium per point). That's just silly. Even if the amount they charge in game is exorbitant, it should still be an option, instead of forcing people to use the C Store.

OR do like City of... and give them as a reward for a special extra-hard series of missions (STFs in this case).

I agree, I really hate it how they ruined a perfectly good system.

Merits was perfect, ALL missions rewarded you merits, and you didn't have to worry about being able to buy a new ship or new equipment INSTEAD of retraining.

But now you are FORCED to choose the one or the other, plus only daily missions give dilithium.
You can't choose how you want to earn it, as episodes and a lot of other missions do not reward it.

    .

    Wrong

Doff assignments give you dilithium, hell some people can max out the daily quota only with the doffs. Recycling doffs gives you also dilithium. Events give you dilithium and pvp gives you dilithium (which are on no cool down).

You can max out the 8k pretty much in 1h or if you have 4 chars you can make 10k in approx 30min.

I'd love to know exactly what u do to make 10k dilithium in 30 minutes using 4 chars.

My point is that NONE of the regular content rewards dilithium.
You do not have the full freedom to choose "how" you want to earn dilithium.
