It's absurdly massive and based on the Star Cruiser bridge, just with a lot more open floor space and fewer consoles -- which emphasize the rediculous size.
I've said before and I'll say again, if they don't have time for a full scratchbuilt bridge, they should look at redressing the Prometheus bridge in tan with a patterned carpet and Sovereign-style chairs as it looks considerably more reasonable in scale. At the very least, they should add the Star Cruiser consoles and stations back in because at least the Star Cruiser bridge looks like it has reasons to be that big, with enough tasks to warrant the space. This just looks big and empty.
Here's my video preview:

I'm posting this here to encourage people to check out the ship on Tribble and post feedback in the threads there. I think this is a step back in the wrong direction as new interiors go and will become a pain whenever we have to visit the Enterprise-F.
Comments
This is most definitely a step in the worst possible direction.
I'd really like to see the new elements like the new tactical station there dropped into the shell of a Prometheus bridge.
Also... Federation bridges have a lot of black, earth tones, and red/reddish brown accents in them. I think the reliance on blue for Feds and red for Klingons shows a lack of faith in the other core design elements to carry the message and oversimplifies the factions' designs while making Federation interiors look drab, cold, oversized, and empty.
I agree about the new railing for the security station... But if they dropped that into the Prometheus bridge, dropped dark brown versions of those chairs in, and made the struts a cream or tan color, and tinkered with the lighting, they'd have a much cooler bridge.
I think they actually copied those beams in the wall for a few bridges, but I want to see the whole bridge made into reality!
though I don't think the lack of time excuse is valid considering how long they had this thing in the works. didn't have that trouble with the constitution interior.
They did, this is the Unity bridge with a couple bits added and a couple others taken out.
At least it doesn't look like a full size steel factory. Talk about overcompensation.
Crew needs combadges just to communicate.
I totally agree, sadly, if we ever see this bridge it'll likely be on the C-Store.
That's what I was hoping for too...
But if they don't have time to scratch build that, I feel like they could kitbash something similar out of the Prometheus bridges, which are roughly that size and have a lot of those kinds of geometric features like the step down to the helm/conn stations.
The Prometheus is the closest we have to that concept bridge and so I feel like they could at least capture the feel on the Prometheus by swapping out consoles/railing and doing a re-color.
Sure wish I did for those special, unique Tribbles...
The exterior is a placeholder. The interior has the Odyssey MSD on the wall, which suggests it's more final.
Hey Cyrptic you want to make some money on the C-store? Then sell us this.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but for some reason, especially after watching that video, I wonder if it isn't a placeholder/WIP and that the final version that hits next week will be different - perhaps much different. (I seem to recall a dev saying that the Odyssey would have a normally scaled interior? Or am I just going crazy? Or both?)
If that is the bridge they go with, either exactly or in a more detailed form... I'm probably going to use a different bridge, too.
i do love that bridge but it looks a bit tactical really from where the captains sitting. i like how on the star cruiser bridge the first officer and someone else (in TNG is was the councillor for some odd odd reason) sit either side of the captain.
but i can see that being a good bridge for like the fleet escort
They could also incorporate the viewscreen filling the space between the forward struts, and the idea of those swooping ceiling supports and very futuristic light columns at the sides.
But heck yes this would look better on a Prometheus bridge with more 'Insurrection Enterprise Bridge' style lighting.
besides, who ever goes to their bridge?
*hand shoots up*
I do!
To do DOFFs and to queue for things, and whenever I need to swap to a small craft, and whenever I need to AFK.
The linked bridge is awesome. The existing Odyssey bridge is awful.
They tried to use the excuse about the caves in CO. That doesn't fly in STO there isn't a lot of combat on bridges so it's not a issue.
People want more realistic bridges and ship interiors on their ships. They either don't get it or don't really care. A good developer would find away to make it happen, instead of blaming the camera.
The problem with people not liking the ginormous interiors isn't going away.
Hear hear! It's disapointing to see that if this is the real bridge, It's not even a new design, it's just a redress of current bridge.
It SEEMS like They Deliberately do The Exact Opposite, just because We said anything at all to begin with.
It's a Starship Bridge..., NOT a Dang COLOSSEUM... Jim.
(wouldn't surprise me in the least if this monstrosity was about the same size as the one in that mission.)
Lol, we're going to have to install those moving sidewalks we have at big airports.
On a more serious note, yeah, I do agree that the bridge is way too big. However, it won't be a big deal for me until there are more mini-games that make visiting the bridge worthwhile.
Looks only slightly smaller than Congress. Does it take as many to staff?
I do to yell at my BOs and to switch to my shuttle.
Wait people complain that a superheroes secret hideout is TOO big?
Have these people never picked up a Batman comic or a Superman comic. Their suppost to be the big to hold all their stiuff.
I was thinking the exact same thing. The Constitution bridge was awesome. In fact, the whole interior is awesome.
This "new" bridge.... -__-
I kid I kid
Yep, bridge is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy too big, pretty ridiculous
