Getting back into STO - Looking for a Fleet

I stoped playing STO for a while and as such, I am no longer part of a fleet, the additions to the game since I last played have made it more enjoyable and easier to play through the story missions. Anyway looking at other topics, I should list what I am looking for.

I am a lifetime subscriber back from when the game was released and got it on preorder, so I am an old player, lol.

Friendly and Welcoming: This is an obvious must for most people I imagin, so not much more to say to this.

Casual: While I can RP, it's not my strong point, so I am more playing for the game than the politics and other RP aspects, although with time, RP can grow on me as it has with other games, just have to learn the ropes.

Uniforms: I have the Seven of Nine uniform as my character is Liberated Borg, I saw it fitting, fleet uniform I wouldn't mind if it was only for certain occassions although I would request a skirt rather than trousers.

Voice Chat: I don't own a mic so I can only listen in on voice chat converstations rather than taking part other than through text.

Timezone: I am in the UK but I can be up at early hours since I am currently unemployed :(

Other: I would like to be in a fleet so that I have people to interact with, I've been playing solo most of the time, if you have questions for me in this topic, ask and I will answer.

You can find me ingame via my main: Three of Seven@JunWatarase

    Hi there JunWatarase,

I'd definitely recommend checking out {UFP}The United Federation of Planets. We've been playing Star Trek games since 2002 and will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary this coming May.

Despite being a large fleet, one of our primary goals is to make new members feel as welcome the best we can. We assign Recruit Support Officers to all new members to help them assimilate into the fleet more easily.

We're very casual friendly and understand the real life comes first and not everyone wants to live and breath Star Trek Online. The only "activity" requirement we set is coming onto the forums once a month and signing our monthly roll call. It helps us filter out inactive members so we can have an accurate headcount and it only takes about 5 minutes of your time as a member to complete. You'll find that many of our members simply want to have fun playing the game.

While we have a fleet uniform, the only time we ask that people wear them is during special social gatherings such as Fleet Days. Other than that, members are free to wear whatever outfit they please. We firmly believe that members should be free to play the game the way they want to without being dictated to.

We have an extremely active TeamSpeak server which we encourage all members to use. Don't worry, we have many members who are in a similar situation to you where they don't have a mic and/or don't want to use one. So feel free to come on and just listen in if that's preferable for you.

We have members from around the world, but our biggest two member pools are in the United Kingdom and the United States. So you'll find people on pretty much the entire day in the UK.

If you're interested, check out our website and forums @ www.ufplanets.com for more information and to apply. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.

    Welcome home (to STO) JunWatarase,

I'm recently back into the game as well. I'm starting the Jevonite Order again, so there isn't a large population.
It is Cardassian based, but is including those who sympathize with a free and independant Cardassia (ie. you can be whatever you want to be).

    We're flying in Starfleet

Relaxed: Yes. We have ranks but only to help in coordination of team efforts.

Uniform Requirement: Whatever you want to wear.

Mature: Average age is 44 (ie. its just me right now. Most of the Cardassian fans moved on to SWTOR (whatever they call the thing) but Jedi's aren't my gig.).

PvE, PvP, and RP: You participate in whatever you wish to; noone will force you to "play" an aspect that you don't want to. Afterall, this is a game and it is for your entertainment you're not being paid to entertain others.
In regards to RPs, I've run several RPs which involved multiple other fleets due to the quality.

I too was new to RP at one time and I understand that it isn't for everyone, but if you do wish to test the waters. I will start another one.

Mic: Although I'm planning to get Ventrillo on the 1st (i'm employed but Hawaii has a way of making the middle class poor). We'll probably have to chat and coordinate times to meet up.

Time Zone: Yes, at this time we are a world away (Hawaii and Europe); but what I'd like to establish is a team leader in multiple time zones to lead volunteer groups (if you want to join cool, if not cool). I am on from early morning to late nights during the weekends and a little bit early in the mornings during the week and once I get off work.

Just providing you an option that is different and could lead to new ideas in the gaming future.

I hope you will check the site out, but want to wish you the best in finding the fleet that best fits you.

    And welcome back.

The TOS Veterans are a nature casual fleet that cater to people that just want to relax, play the game and join in with a bunch of older fun people whenever they want.

We have no rules except for the over 30 year’s old rule and we have players interested in all aspects of the game but nothing is mandatory. WE have a fleet uniform and theme but you only have to wear it if you wish to ;) We get enough people making lists and bossing us around in our real lives. We have no bosses and every member has a say in the direction of the fleet and the 5 member Council is there just to make sure that this original intent of the fleet direction is kept.

If you are over 30 then please check us out at tosfleet.com and if you are just under 30 then we are also a little flexible on that rule as well.

Congratulations on finding the fleet that fit your desires. You are also invited to become a Civilian member of the Jevonite Order. We have a alliance forum and will have RPs available if interested.
