I wonder what compelled him to build it in the apartment his wife owned after she left him.

And then I wonder why if it's because she wants to sell it, why he doesn't just buy it from her. I mean, he had the money to make the modifications afterall.

... That women is obviously a Romulan bent on destroying remarkable piece Trek art.

To bad the guy couldn't come up with something better than the standard porcelin toilet in the bathroom.

As much as I want to feel sorry for him, it's really his fault. Maybe he can start another, on property HE owns this time. :p

Okay, perhaps a bit of poor judgement to do that to an apartment he didn't own.

But for crying out loud, first see if they can sell it WITH the custom interior. Surely he's not the ONLY Trekker there!

(So what we call a condo in the US is still an apartment over there? What do you call one you rent rather than own?)

I can't believe it's gonna be torn down! That thing is probably worth tons of cash as a novelty apartment now! Missed opportunity, big one... :(

From the sound of it, I think he built it as a way to cope with this separation.

I want to know how he did the LCARS though. I might do that in my son's playroom...

Looks like it might be something like a printed vinyl sheet with a backlight and a pane of glass over it to make it reflective. A sign maker might be able to help you if you're interested in something similar.
