LOL, of course they would pick the one screenshot of 1st Season Worf doing something unimaginably stupid for any space-faring race; attempting to shoot the "bad guy" on the main viewscreen.:D

    3 episode "sneak peek": $22
Star Trek: The Next Generation: 178 episodes.
Rough approximation of the cost of owning the full series based on these numbers: $1300

And people complain when Cryptic wants you to give them 3-4 dollars for a costume.

The saddest part of this, is the people who bought the whole series on VHS, who then bought the whole series again on DVD.. will happily hand over another grand to Paramount/Viacom/CBS (whoever) for another set on BluRay.

That did kill me. I paid approx $175 for all five seasons + the movies of Babylon 5. I guess, like "Star Wars", stamping "Star Trek" on something increases it's value ten fold.

I made the mistake in the early days of going with Betamax. Not going to make the same mistake with BluRay

The quality is simply shocking. I'd only be wary about it being so good you start to see how makeup was used to emphasis features or blend prosthetics - but hardly a big issue considering what your getting. Its like an over the shoulder view.

After having just upgraded my VHS collection to DVD for all the ST series the other year, I think Blue-Ray will be a LONG way down the road - but now I have something to through out there for anyone gift shopping for me lolol
