In college, I lived across the hall from a guy who drove an old Dodge Omni or some similar hatchback. It was grey with a red stripe poorly painted down the side. I saw that car for a couple years before someone informed me it was supposed to be an X-Wing. . . Apparently the dude had grand plans to add an R2 Dome on top and such, but never got around to it.
If you have a death wish, buy a smart car. Those things wouldn't survice much of an impact, let along a serious accident. However, it will crumple to the point where it would be like being buried inside of a soup can.
