The fact that you formed the Fleet does not mean that someone else you don't know didn't also form a Fleet with the same name before you - possibly anohter WK 40k fan.
And being condescending to others on the forum will only get you an Infraction.
The only possible way for you to be "Spacewolves C" or whatever you are now, is if two other fleets formed before yours were named Spacewolves. The fleet name system didn't used to restrict duplicate fleet names. That was changed recently. The first fleet with that name will keep it unaltered. The next fleet that used it would be Spacewolves A, and the next one would be Spaceowolves B, and so on and so forth.
You weren't the first fleet in STO to use that name.
EDIT: If I recall correctly, you should have the option to change your fleet name.
You don't have to drop Spacewolves if you don't want to. For example, you can call yourselves "Spacewolves Fleet" or "The Original Spacewolves" or "Federation Spacewolves" or even "The Spacewolves". You just can't be "Spacewolves" by itself anymore.
forgiveness cosmic and others if i insulted, that was not my intention..
but speaking free words and asking who has 'space wolve a' causes this much derision, and asking who owns it it over us, when it was set up ages ago, beggers the question..?
who owns A.
simple as that!!
And I can promise you this.. the SW name is an IP infringment..
and gess who works for GW and has permission...
I'll tell you right now, pursuing legal action over a name would be a major waste of time and resources, and depending on the country or countries of origin, could be an even bigger hassle. I'm pretty sure at least States-side, there's fair use laws that protect the current "owners" of Spacewolves A. Since they aren't making money, you basically have very little case...
And, hey, look at it this way. If there's enough fans of Warhammer 40K out there to use Spacewolves at least three times, that just means the game is doing well.

The only issue I had was your statement: "you know what friends are mr Jex..?" That seemed like a rude thing to say to me - though you might not have meant it as such.
The simple truth is you'll never know who owns A unless they happen to see this post and want to reply to you.
It's also quite possible that the person came up with the name him/herself and never heard of GW 40k. And it wouldn't be an IP infringement. People don't own words. At best you can claim a Trademark infringement - assuming you filed a TM on "Space Wolves" and you can prove in court that their use of the name is intentionally causing you harm. It's sort of like how both Marvel and DC comics have a character called Captain Marvel, but since Marvel holds the Trademark and DC cannot use that name on the cover of any of its books.
Instead of asking on the forums who runs a particular fleet, since the chance of finding out who barring a well known fleet, is rather slim. The fleet in question may or may not even be active anymore, may or may not be well established, and/or may just be around on a casual basis. Simply follow the suggestions stated before and rename your fleet with something other then spacewolves.
im going to take a leap here and guess that your trolling arntcha
That or he's a 12 years old furryfan of some sort.
Seriously, OP, you don't get anthing out of your behaviour. Someone took the name before you. It's a first come first served basis. There are either other 40k fans out there or just other kids think tagging "wolves" on everything is cool. Just rename your fleet and live with it. Maybe "Space Sheep". That would be cooler, anyway
Of course whoever it is isn't going to tell you. And I really doubt any of their friends are going to tell you. And it's a good bet several members of the community aren't going to tell you just for that beat the TRIBBLE out of them comment.
And I can promise you this.. the SW name is an IP infringment..
I'm sorry, no it isn't. Wolves are one of the most popular wild animals on the planet for their loner nature, and ability to work as a pack. And this is a space game. To find a fleet/guild named Space Wolves/Wolves in Space/Wolf Space/add any number of combinations, is not all that uncommon. The only way you could enforce a copyright on that is if you could prove they intentionally stole your name from you, knowing it was yours. But as it stands, there are just too many people who like space and wolves(the animal).
If it stops this whole charade, I own the Spacewolves A name. Have at me.
but i will protect the spacewolves, and the ex while i was gone.
we have the spacewolves name..
simple as //
who is Sven?
don't u luv the wolves.
I am the Space Wolves A fleet.
Now, I ask of you, Khan, why would a Space Wolf take the name with Khan in it? Are you really a White Scar in disguise?? Because a White Scar has no rights to the name.
What are you trying to get across? that you wish to tackle fleets with similar fleet names as yours?
A noble quest indeed. I am thinking that the fleet you will be looking for will not be the 'Spacewolves A' they will be the one and true Spacewolves because they got in there before you
How about a compromise and call your STO fleet the Space Bunnies? The rabbit is also a marvellous creature that sometimes changes the coulour of its fur in the winter.

Not quite as special when you realize that some wolves do this as well, I think some foxes as well. Couple of cats do it, think a few mice do too. In fact, I think almost every creature that lives far enough north that has fur does this.

True but one of the most interesting aspects of a rabbit's body is his digestive system. Unlike a cat or dog, rabbits can eat a wide variety of plant material. They can process and extract nutrients from many plants that are indigestible to less adaptable herbivores or omnivores. This ability helps make rabbits highly successful in a variety of environments around the world. Understanding how your rabbit's digestive system functions is important so that you can feed him in a way that's most efficient for his body.

I thought it was just me.

now before the update we.. us feds/klinks played and fought together as friends..

spacewolves b.
spacewolves c.
all i'm asking is who now owns spacewolves A..?
because we would both as feds and klink love to bast the TRIBBLE out off them for the name.
we are the spacewolves visiting STO so wish to avoid in any form.
www,spacewolves.org we are a friendly fleet but if someone has stolen our name...
Khan
you know what friends are mr Jex..?

He is right... Another fleet had that name before you, and because of this, your fleet was assigned another letter to the fleet name.
Happend with a recent patch, and I am sorry to say that being rude isn't gonna change that.
The simple truth is you'll never know who owns A unless they happen to see this post and want to reply to you.

who now has the spacewolves 'a name?'
before yopur jump on me as some kind off twit, I fought with anumber of other fleets, GI and SI.
pvp/pve done it with them.
and I learn't alot, but when i left from both to form the spacewolves, none of them regrected..
and this was ages ago.
anyone flying with spacewolves tags a...
are open hunting...
Khan.
What are you trying to get across? that you wish to tackle fleets with similar fleet names as yours?
Lol. This isn't EVE. Threatening to hunt someone down is pretty hollow on STO.
forgive me if what seems like and out burst..

Or so I am told...
"Aww look, how cute. The bunnies are coming for... Oh god! My leg! Get it off get it off! It's eating right through my armor!"
Sorry, Monty Python moment there.
