TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - January 10, 2012

We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.
ST.17.20120104b.11

General:
  • The Community Authored tab is no longer disabled for silver accounts.
  • Call Trade Freighter now correctly gives access to the exchange.
  • KDF characters can no longer kill the vacationers on Risa.
    • Tsk tsk.
  • Klingon characters now have access to the B’Tran cluster.
  • It is now possible to change a ship’s designation via the new Commission Ship UI.
  • PvP maps will now wait a minute before ejecting players.
    • This means the rewards window will stay up longer.
  • The client should no longer minimize when making changes to in-game options.
  • The client should no longer minimize when clicking outside it while in fullscreen mode.
  • Updated audio to resolve issues with extra echoes/reverb.
  • More French and German translations have been added.

Duty Officers:
  • Added new shipboard duty officer assignments each of which will, on a critical success, buff a skill for two hours from turn-in of the assignment.
    • More such assignments will become potentially available as you gain tiers in the Engineering, Medical, Science, Development and Military commendation categories.
    • Both Ground and Space skill buff assignments are available.
  • Modestly increased the number of shipboard assignments potentially available at any particular time.
  • Increased the chance of the Warp Core Engineer duty officer active roster power to activate.
  • Duty officer assignment "Reclaim Borg Drones" has a more appropriate critical reward.
  • Updated duty officer asylum assignments that were sometimes incorrectly giving poor quality duty officer rewards.
  • Colonial Emergency Supply Federation duty officer assignments are now giving the proper Dilithium Ore reward on critical.
  • Updated text in Gagh duty officer assignment to address a typo.

Systems:
  • The Nausicaan Energy Leech console is working as designed again.
    • Can apply up to 8 stacks of -1/+1 energy drain on a target.
  • Garumba Siphonhas been updated so it can now be properly resisted by players with skill in Power Insulators.
  • More Space STF Revamp:
    • BORG:
      • 2 PIECE: Increased proc chance from 10% to 20%.
      • 3 PIECE: Increased threshold of proc from 10% shield health remaining to 20%.
    • MACO:
      • DEFLECTOR: Added "Graviton Generators" skill boost.
      • ENGINE: Warp Speed corrected to 12.
      • ENGINE: Replaced "Engine Performance" skill boost with "Driver Coil" skill boost.
      • SHIELD: Power Bonus now lingers for 15 seconds instead of 10 seconds.
      • SHIELD: Added another +Capacity bonus.
      • 3 PIECE: Damage of Graviton Beam now scales with Aux power.
    • OMEGA
      • DEFLECTOR: Added "Graviton Generators" and "Particle Generators" skill boosts.
      • ENGINE: Added another +Turn modifier.
      • ENGINE: Slipstream Capacitor properly now reduces Slipstream cooldown by 50%.
      • SHIELD: Added another +Capacity and +Regen bonus.
      • 2 PIECE: Tetryon Glider is now fully-functional.
      • Shield Drain is not reported in combat log, but we're working on a solution to this.
    • KLINGON HONOR GUARD
      • DEFLECTOR: Added "Flow Capacitor" skill boost
      • ENGINE: Replaced "Warp Core Potential" skill with Efficiency for Weapons/Shield/Auxiliary systems.
      • SHIELD: Added another +Capacity bonus
      • 2 PIECE: Bonus Torpedo Dmg now applies to all torpedoes, not just High Yield and Spread.

Known Issues:
  • MACO 2 PIECE does not work (cooldown reduction)
  • OMEGA 3 PIECE power still under review, may change significantly.
  • KHG 3 PIECE power still under review, may change significantly.
  • Aceton Assimilator: More than 2 active debuffs on a target does not increase past the 1st drain.

    Still no fix to threat control. You know Ive got allot of sp sitting useless now because its not working. Could we get an idea if its even on the list somewhere?

    Yes, it's on the list--we're testing it with the systems team.

    Is the audio getting fixed for ground yet? Not sure if you check the game bugs section of the forums but just posted about it and hope a fix is in the pipeline. Not sure how such a bug made it to holodeck either. It is so obvious.

    And may turn away a lot of F2Pers before they buy anything.

    How about the fact that Feds cannot get non-Borg Anti Proton ship weapons from the proper vendor on ESD but the KDF can get them from thier vendor on Quonos? Will we ever get a fix for this problem?

    what did you do to fix it? did you just remove the TEXT (boo!) or did you ADD the exchange access (yay!) ?

    there has been an odd but simple bug that has been in the game for months now, i have reported it many times.

    If you approach the Sirius Sector border from any direction, meaning incoming TO the sector block from neighboring sectors, the label instead of saying "Sirius Sector Block" just says in lowercase letters "klingon"

    do you know about this Zeronius? Is this a known issue? It seems like a simple fix, is there more to it then I am understanding?

    Gonna look at the Borg Set again. Still feels like its gonna be weaker somehow when shield+hull heals are an essential part of tanking (hull tanking more so). Will leave feedback over in the official thread for the sets.

    I like the sound of the Duty Officer system tweaks. :)

    Personally, I think "Bank" access should be removed from the Azura and moved into our ship interiors.

    - Commodity Store: makes sense for a freighter
    - Mail (for item retrieval/sending): makes sense for a freighter
    - Exchange: makes sense for a freighter, in the same way mail does

    - Bank/Cargo Storage: We have access to all crafting items/holiday currencies/commodities in our non-inventory cargo storage at all times anyway (w/o the need to call for a freighter). Clearly it goes with us and is not physically stored in the various starbases and magically transported via the freighter when we call it. Let us go inside our ships to manage our banks/excess cargo storage. Give us a cargo bay in our ship interiors!

    You can still do that... I think you just have to hit ctrl+ the key now. :)

    Don't think the glider is working .. no tetyron in combat log and when i look in the info for the omega space set it says " -24 teyron damage " ./shrug , and yes that was in one of the daily missions in the Deferi zones

    Azure having exchange access is something I have wished since we got the summons reward.

    Now..how about a tailor for our ship interiors? I think having to go to bases to change looks is a little annoying and sillly.

    A Bolian ship's barber like Mr. Mott anyone? :cool:

    So the "bathroom" echo chamber effect is finally getting fixed. :)

    However, what about the crackling problem that is much, much older? I miss the sound quality from before Season 5. :(

    So I take it Cryptic decided not to care about what we were saying about the Borg set nerf? Or should i say Cryptic chose to just plain ignore us? At least thats how it feels like.
