Scheduled Maintenance (January 5, 2012)

We will be bringing down Star Trek Online on Friday January 6th from 7:00AM to 9:00AM PDT (1400 to 1600 UTC) in order to perform maintenance and apply a new patch.

    DX11 patch. And some other minor bug fixes (doff dismissal awards, some UI cleanup)

    another patch will hopefully fix the wonky behaviour of the client....

    yesterday my Windows Taskbar thought it was in front of the game and always pulled itself into the front when i mouseclicked ...until i restarted the client

    then one time i changed some graphics options slider (some view distance or something) after ALT+TABing and the whole screen went to a lower resolution, without moving away from the Resoultion that i had chosen, so i had to change resolution TWICE to get it back to 1920x1080

    and i haven't even enabled DX11 on Holodeck :rolleyes:


    imho this build was not ready to go on Holodeck yet...

    it is 14:15 UTC and the server is still up..

    it really would be nice if you could improve the accuracy of your downtimes :rolleyes:

    I believe Some of the Patches also for the Big Change to F2p Environment.:)

    Is not 7am PDT yet though. ;)

    It should have been written, 7:00AM to 9:00AM PDT (1500 to 1700 UTC)

    Ever hear of uninterrupted service? The loging screens made no warning of the upcoming shutdown. Oh and dya think we can do it without resetting my characters skills!?

    They had to reset skills, they completely changed the skill system

    2 hours to do an update!? I could migrate the entire server in less time!

    actually for most MMO's 2 hours is actually quite a short downtime

    I've had to re assign skills 3 times in the last 10 days, I love this game but the people at Cryptic don't seem to be very skilled.

    Well considering I have played every day since 22nd December and only reassigned skills yesterday, I call foul on that statement good sir

    Wasn't STO down yesterday too...I want to play STO, but I haven't been able to for 2 days now...

    I'd like to do a few more green box runs (b/c that's the only thing that has dropped for over a month for me) and isn't there another skill reset..? :rolleyes:

    Oh well another TOR day.

    Servers been up, but exteremely hard to log on to, I've been hanging during the patch download very frequently!

    heh, two hours it was down yesterday, two hours today... there were 22 other hours in between

    So now I'm bullsh*ting!? You seem to have a thing for calling people liars. Unless you've been looking over my shoulder the last 10 days, you've got no way whatsoever to disprove my claim. If you represent Cryptic and have my connection and activity logs in front of you all you have to do is look, otherwise you don't know squat.

    Having an opinion is fine, until you start poking at people with it!

    Stop feeding the trolls. Everyone knows there was only one skill reset when they revamped the space/ground mandatory skillpoint spending. :p

    Funny, my STO launcher had news of both yesterday's and today's maint downtime on them the evening before it happened...and of course, there were post here regarding it as well.
    Maybe the launcher's different for different parts of the world.

    Yes... OR a GM was looking at your character and saw how badly you did you skills and kept resetting them in hopes you would do them right

    Nah, its the same (at least it is for US and UK players as I've played in Florida and England within the last 7 days), but then again, it may be different for him, just like he has had to reset his skills a few times in ten days, unlike everyone else that only had to reset yesterday

    Actually, that was fixed in the January 5th patch. I remember it because they apologized for the inconvenience of resetting the mission (ironic because that inconvenience made the mission work.)

    However, given the history of that bug it may have reappeared yet again.

    Yesterday I had to reset my skills on all my characters for the third time in the last two weeks or so.
    I has been kinda nice to respec the skills. I had been meaning to do it for a while. Pretty good at it now. :D
