Can a character get the Jem'Hadar attack ship even if they aren't of a high enough level to use it? Answer to this question can possible save me lots of c-points or cause me to spend lots of c-points.
Before anyone complains, if you choose to gamble then you only have yourself to blame if you arent happy with the results. That said you can get these gifts for free by playing Q's games, so you dont have to spend money. You can ALSO trade dillithium for C-points and buy them that way from the C-store without spending any real money.
Possibly one of the worst items Cryptic has ever released. Sure to make money for them, and sure to be very frustrating for the poor souls that make the mistake of purchasing them.

How does choosing to gamble make you a "poor soul"? Unless you mean "poor" in the sense of spending all your money =P

yeah, that's pretty much what I mean. I'm pretty sure that gambling is illegal in most states, yet somehow MMO's are allowed to do it. But whatever. I'm not wasting my money on it, and I hope nobody else does either.

I'm predicting a spike in C-point demand shortly. Expect the selling price for C-Points to hit the cap shortly.

its only a hundred c point, most items on that list cost alot more. I for one wouldn't mind a holo BO.

Gambling for money is illegal. There is no money to win, so no federal or state ristrictions can apply. Now if there was a $100 prize that would be diffrent.
Also Nagus, the Lottery is run by the states not private companies, thats how they can get by the law.
In short this is not true gambling, therefore Cryptic has done nothing wrong. I would rather the list be shorter though, so I can get a Jem'Hadrar ship.
Bought one for my main character. We'll see what's in it next time I'm ingame. I've got my fingers crossed for the ship, of course.
I do sincerely hope that these Jem'Hadar ships will eventually be available in the C-Store. I really prefer account-wide unlocks for ships, and I'm willing to pay for that priviledge.
My first impression was that this might be cool. But then I saw that you get ONE of things on the list randomly. I HATE random packs like this. And so do most people. That's why Trading Card Games have started switching to the "Living" format where you know what you're getting. The Jem'Hadar ship sounds cool, but I'm not spending 100 C-points to MAYBE get something cool when there is a lot of TRIBBLE in the mix as well.
I'm sure 90% of these packs will give XP boosts which are useless to VA's. Or pets which are similarly worthless.

Just a fact, NOT A COMPLAIN. I wanted to test out what the rewards are from this red box. From around 17 packs ( 1700 Cryptic points spent) I got only candles, and duplicates to my horta's, exocomp, and holographic BO. No Jem'Hadar ship. So from what I see this is more expensive than the Galaxy X.
So as the Nagus said previouslly, buy them at your own risk. I did :P
A on the good side you get a lot of XP boost, purple items, and a lot of blue items.
Holiday pack is just nother money garb from cryptic why not it is chirstmas ,you can trade the junk for other useless junk, Who every come with this idea was PWE Fire thier ***, basically i feel i am defrauded out my money buy cryptic
Some people seem to forget that they can get the red gift box (and the ship) without spending their c-points. Granted, it is a slim chance to get one as a reward, but you can do the race quest with each character once a day.
There are two or three kewl items on the list, and I'll be buying and playing Q's game to try to better my chances at getting the ones I want. It's a game- I understand that. In games you can either win or lose, but I really don't see anyone losing on this one because all of the items are worth at least 100 points.

But, it's up to you to take personal responsibilty for your actions. They've stated what the i'Gift' has a chance of containing up front and that the jem Hadar ship will be VERY rare. No one forced you to buy anything. They stated the terms and possible rewards, and you made the decision on how many you were going to buy.
That's not fraud. You made the choice to purchase what you did. (Ansd unfortiunately that's what any retailer counts on; but in the end, the final coice was yours to make.)
Looks to me like CBS said no way in **** are we letting the whole federation fly these, but the devs wanted to put it in so this was the compromise. Maybe this idea will allow work on other factions while still generating $$$.

Huh? You cant buy lottery tickets at your local gas station?

They're not making you buy it. Just play the Q games and try to win them.
Or trade DL for C-points and buy it from the store without spending any real money.

Just like any other retail enterprise. Don't you love the corporate holiday spirit?

Less each issue individually, more the cumulative effect.
Regardless I don't want the bug.
Simple aesthetics.
It is ugly. It could be more shiny like the ships in the show. It looks rusted somehow...
Very, very irate.

If it is 1/100, then on average this ship would cost 10,000 points.

Good luck to the holiday spenders, and remember,
