I bought the defiant retrofit a long, long time ago with c-store points. recently after a bug where I couldn't seat my Commander Bridge officer (ticket ID #1,232,349.) I discharged it and found I was hit with the cannot reclaim it bug. Now, after that bug was fixed, I cannot reclaim my ship without PAYING c-store points, yet again. This is not right, please fix this.

Have you tried logging into the game, and going to the Legacy Unlocks tab on the C-Store window? I've heard said that this is the first place to check for stuff that does not seem to be available.

Before today, it wouldn't let us claim it. After that patch, it SAYS WE HAVE TO BUY IT AGAIN.

This IS happening today as I note it's AFTER the patch in my OP.
Only a few of my ships show up in the Legacy area, I'm missing the Tactical Escort Retrofit, Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit and Exploration Cruiser Retrofit. Oddly enough all the ones you were able to purchase with the VA token. However I know I bought them via the C-Store cause at one point I've been on each of those ships with each of my toons, messing around seeing if I liked certain combinations.
Add Advanced Research Vessel Retrofit to the list of missing ships.
All of them require me to buy them with C-Store points and none of which show up in my legacy area of the C-Store.
Also today (06 December 2011) after the patch went live.

Cryptic REALLY NEEDS to give the player a 'proof of purchase' receipt on any C-Store item purchase now that they are using it as the primary source of revenue. It would be great if EVERYONE also had a 'Purchased' Tab in their C-Store display and EVERYTHING bought could just be claimed or reclaimed from that tab.
Right now, the interface is haphazard and so non-stadardized, it's ridiculous. I have to go through multiple tabs to see just what the C-Store is claiming I've purchased - some stuff says 'Purchased' while other stuff I've bought says "Free' - and some ship can be claimed from the C-Store tab, while others need to be claimed at the Shipyard NPC.
Sorry, but it's just ridicuulous that a company switching to a F2P/MT system has such an akward and hapharard MT store interface that is anything BUT intuitive.
It's also funny that while they worry about not confusing new F2P players in game (by redoing in game sign and some sign mechanics); it seems they're not worried about the confusing and haphazard interface that is the C-Store interface; or the fact that a player gets no tangable 'proof of purchase' he can use when mistakes or issues with the system arise.
IMO a bad and confusing MT store interface and lack of receipts for a purchase is going to drive more F2P players away from using the C-Store than bad sinage on ESD or Qo'Nos (IMO).
I'm amazed that these C-Store issues seem to have such a low priority when transitioning from a subscription to a F2P business model.
The C-Store REALY needs:
- To give players a receipt stating whatr they purchased - and the type (account wide or single character)
- A way a player can see and find everything he's purchashed in one window, without having to search for or try to remember where it is (eg what tab or window in the C-Store interface).
- A standard way to claim or reclaim purchased items that is simple and straightfprward - not some items that can be claimed from th C-Store and others that need to be claimerd from NPCs, etc.
Seems like Cryptic needs to look at it's priority system if they're going to leave their C-Store in such a mess just a month opr so from launching STO F2P.
Indeed. A friend told me that all ships from C-Store seem to have got ninja changed to character rather then account unlock after the 1st December patch :mad:

Repeated mistakes do not get a *thank you*. They get more DO NOT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN ... tho in cryptic's case that IS FUTILE!
Unfortunatly, we are kind of at the mercy of Cryptic. If we don't like something, they might change it, but I've been playing long enough to know what Cryptic wants it gets. Being polite will more likely get you a Dev answer however, so I try to do so.
Also, talking out to vehemently against them gets you infractions, I know so because I've received them.
There was a C-Store setting that didn't get updated. We are in the process of resolving it now, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

i know you guys are working hard, and i know bugs will be inevitable. but things like this cant happen- game play bugs are 1 thing to be expected- cstore and things of that nature should not be- in the words of smokey, playing with my money is like playing with my emotions!
