Talk of politics in a forum for a game based on a show where politics was a chief concern is not allowed and will get you infracted.
Didn't you read the article? The US is a battleground! No forum is safe now!!
I heard of it in other places though. The news *is* suspiciously quiet about it. It's not the first time they've ignored a story that could cause a riot.
Edit:Senate Bill 1867, Passed 93-7. You can do a web search on it if you want to. It's a very long bill. The ACLU seems pretty concerned about parts of it, and the President has threatened to Veto it. It still has to be reconciled with the House version of the Bill before it heads to the President to be signed or vetoed. Not all news agencies seem to be covering the story for some reason. Make of that what you will.
I'm withdrawing any further comment on the matter.
Here's a summary of the bill. But in a nutshell I will say this, nothing changes. Despite popular belief, the US Congress reserves the right to use the US Military for anything it wants. But it's generally politically suicidal to do so.
Besides, the second amendment generally trumps anything congress lays down.
