This Thanksgiving, enjoy a 20% discount on all C-Store Items* until 10:00am PDT November 28th, before all the big changes come to the C-Store in early December.
(* Exeter and Puyjaq ships excluded from sale.)
I'm glad the is a sale as I need to get some new character slots but yes please double check the date chane. Stephen said January and it would be a bit sucky to change that now. I hope that's just stormy getting the wrong end if the stick.
Yeah, This I highly doubt, your optimism, is refreshing however. Considering the changes were one whole package, I'm sure they will happen all at once, either up, or down.

Hmm, new character slots are going to become pointless for new players who do not buy account-wide unlocks since they could just make a new account when they run out, but then, I doubt they would want to make one or two characters anyway, so it makes sense.

for people that dont buy account wide items then yes they can just open new accounts. but they will be pretty important for all existing players who have all their stuff on one account. ill still need to keep buying them unless i want to have them start without all my collected goodies which i probably wont.
Now I'm seeing 2 of every ship, one for free and one for full price.
I never bought the Starfleet Academy Uniform, but that's showing as free too. Yet the tactical escort retrofit which I bought aeons ago, isn't showing as free or unlocked for my federation characters. I don't trust this store one bit.
Steam is having a massive Autumn sale from now til the end of the weekend. Tons of games, including major titles for less than the cost of a single C-Store ship...

I know where my money is going
How is that poor timing? Pretty much every store is having a sale this week. It just sounds like there are other sales you would rather spend your money on. I probably would too, but it seems like it might be my last chance to get the pre-F2P Excelsior on sale, and I have to admit, I will probably spend what is left over on the last chance to get an account wide unlock of "junior".

Wow a game or a ship... that in some cases that ship is broken while one or more of those games more than likely not broken... such a hard choice... i suggest a weegie board or however its spelled :P ROFL
Yes, but they also did say that the F2P build, which is now on Tribble, will come to Holodeck between Dec 1st and Dec 8th, which will include ALL the changes as they will exsist when F2P goes live...
Which will include the price increases on many ships, the VA token gone and the dilithium addition to crafting.
So, might be a good time to buy some of those ships for the current price if you plan on getting one in the near future.
Ya got a couple weeks at best...

Doesn't anyone read the Blogs...?
Actually, they said the c-store changes would not be made until they actually launched F2P in January, since people would be paying their subscription fees until then.

Kinda sounds like they're changing everything since the current Tribble build includes the price changes.
I also couldn't find a post from a Developer saying the price changes wouldn't go into effect until after the official start of F2P, perhaps you can, donno.
First, we plan to bring the C-Store prices back in line for a subscription game before the Tribble build makes it to Holodeck. The prices won't go up to the current Tribble levesl until we have Silver members (non-subscribers) in the game.
Exactly when we bring the build to Holodeck will depend on how the build is looking. That is why I gave an 8 day target window. We think we can hit December 1, but it may take longer to get everything to where it needs to be.
By the way, the F2P Dev Blog was November 9, my quote above is November 10.
D'Angelo wrote both of them -- though your source doesn't have a single reference to the C-Store where he stated elsewhere:

lol...Ok I stand corrected...;)
I still wouldn't be surprised, tho. His post does say "before all the big changes come to the C-Store in early December."
He must be talking about some other big changes.
Doesn't matter to me, I bought everything I might want already and none of the new ones on Tribble interest me now that I've tried a few.
Now I'm seeing 2 of every ship, one for free and one for full price.
There's a bug with the store right now which is allowing players to see the reclaim versions of all the items on the store. If you have not purchased an item, you will not be able to claim the free version. If you log in, and then out of the game while experiencing this bug, it should clear right up.
Thanks for the Sale STO. However, since your brothers over at CO are offering a better sale (up to 50% off) and have continued to offer new story mission-type content these last 8+ months (even while there were no in-office cups), I think I will spend my existing/remaining CP there.
Edit: Well, perhaps I spoke too soon. The CO announcement was misleading, or at least I and others misunderstood. The sale only applies to select items that as an LTS either don't apply to me or I've no interest in, but most items are full price. So only "better" if you're looking for those items. And I did pick-up one thing, so that was cool.

Cheers for the tip! Had a few CeePees left over from more optimistic times, so at least I know where they're going now.
Bit of luck the Cryptic Studios that make Champions Online haven't had to deal with Atari selling them, and then Perfect World taking over, otherwise we'd really be in trouble.
Going to hold off till the next major sale. I should have more points thanks to the stipend. I plan on sticking to my guns and make Cryptic pay for every C-store item I purchase from now on.

yet another change one can only assume. Which if this is true, will royally suck. IF however it doesn't hit till the 17th, well then, thats good.
Good luck with that happening.

I'd like dev confirmation that this is no longer the case.

Infact most of the ships are showing as FREE. In a bit of a hurry to push your wares this time Cryptic?

Most of us spent our money on food already LOL
Seems to be isolated or fixed - they no longer do (at least for me)

Sounds like an odd bug. I wonder if a whole slew of early clickers got a nice selection of free ships, consoles and skins.

Sorry for the inconvenience folks.
Thanks,

I was thinking wow If I had some C points what would I buy with this sale and then I looked for around 30-45 mins and was like wow... nothing.
