Our Voice Chat provider will be performing a maintenance on 11.16.2011 from 2:00AM to 3:00AM PST (1000 to 1200 UTC). During this time voice chat will be unavailable. All other game-related services will be unaffected.
Did you make some improvements?
It's a great idea,I really like the way it has a fleetwide channel, but...
yeah, the quality is horrendous...
We've been sticking to our TS3 server, using the ingame for PUGs only.
I was wondering if anyone could do a STO voice chat 101 for the benefit of all?
I very much like using my team speak when I am playing with fellow my fleet members. However, I find it difficult to communicate effectively with non fleet members especially in enemy encounters. Its a bit tough to type when you are trying to fight or defend some one. Its a good make a new friends along the way. Its also a great way of doing a bit of role playing and role playing makes the grinding go a lot faster.
I am grinding for accolades and if I can help out someone in the process so much the better. But in order to do that I need to be able to communicate voice to voice or my voice to someones key board texting.
Or can you point me to a good tutorial? Or how to use my present Team Speak 3 to speak to non fleet members
The worst problem is vice chat bleeds thought to Fleet and Fleet blleds thought to groups
There's actually a setting that controls that. You can set the volume of "out of focus" channels, or turn them off entirely.
For the record, the Vivox voice chat works fine for me. I haven't had any issues with the sound quality, works just as well as TeamSpeak for me. Maybe it's a problem of bandwidth?
