Logitech "G" Keys

Hi guys,

A quick enquiry. I am trying to setup my "G" keys on my logitech G11 keyboard. I tried the STO profile that comes pre-setup with the software although I ran into the following issue:-
  • I setup "G1" so when press it initiates "Ctrl + 1"
  • I press "G1"
  • The following happens ingame: Ctrl down, 1 down, 1 up, Ctrl up, 1 down, 1 up
  • This is what should happen: Ctrl down, 1 down, 1 up, Ctrl up

Any ideas why I get the extra "1 up/down" at the end? I've tried both keystroke and Multi key with no luck.

Does STO actually allow this?

Thanks in advance

always had a problem with the key setup on the logitech keyboards. What I had to do to get the g keys to work without activating the 1-0 keys when i use the ctrl and alt keys was to in game keybinding
delete the second (alternate)command key list for the 1-0 keys.
on the ctrl and alt keys set the second(alternate) command list to use the number key for 1-0 ie alt + num 1 , ctrl _ num 1.
(need to have the number lock turn off when setting up the keybind options to allow selection of the number keys)
then the g keys can be set to use key alt(or ctrl) num keys to active the command options without over activating the normal 1-0 keys

Its tricky keyboards easiest to do because all you gotta do is match the profiler to the ingame key binds and then its easy. Thing to beware of is sometimes the client on steelseries or logitech hardware is that it will mess up your keyboard commands and make it where your 1 thru 0 is doing alt 1 thru 0 or even shift sometimes and you have to either restart your PC or hope the scroll lock which works for me returns it normal.

I think I've got it working where it's not glitchy... firstly I downloaded the legacy software off the logitech site instead of their new gaming panel.

I then recorded the macros to include a time delay. I'm just setting up all my skills now and I'll update this post with progress

STO seems to get confused when SHIFT/ALT/CTRL and another key are pressed simultaneously, there needs to be a slight delay.

I have a G13 and I set it up like so:
I have a macro called "ALT+1" which has the following steps:
    Depress ALT
    0.1 sec delay
    Depress 1
    0.1 sec delay
    Release 1
    0.1 sec delay
    Release ALT

And similar macros for any shift/alt keys. I assign those macros to keys on my g13.

    It's works perfectly.

Just wanted to know what version and software you downloaded to get it working? I've got the Logitech G700 Wireless Gaming Mouse. And using 6.32 software on Windows 7 64bit.

Please link to software, if at all possible. Thanks!

The best solution is to add a .25-.1 delay between keypresses as the UI can sometimes be slugish to register the fast macro presses of the keys, its the same thing I do for all mmos and games, I keep the delay as low as possible as each game alows for.

Well I surroundet the problem by assigning the NUM-keys als alternative for CTRL 5-0 and Alt 5-0, then I programmed G-keys with the them.
