While I love the concept of lore missions I feel the way cryptic have done this is slightly lazy.
I'm a vice-admiral and I'm taking a 'mid-term exam'? How does that make sense? And I do this by wandering over to a console near the bridge? I don't even have to enter a classroom?
I don't know - feels rushed and not thought through.
We're vice admirals (or Lieutenants/commanders etc) NOT cadets. Wouldn't it make more sense for us to be giving a lecture and the lore mission and question be designed around preparing lecture notes? Wouldn't it be more immersive to enter a classroom full of student npcs and 'finish' the meeting by standing at a lecturn as though to give a lecture (same tech... just slightly different presentation).
That would feel more immersive and star trek. What's on tribble now - as I say... lazy
I hadn't thought about it, but I totally agree. Even if you're only a Lt Commander it would make more sense for your character to be a visiting instructor.
