New Skill System Quirks

So, there I was looking at the skill system, about to respec my character to test stuff out (speaking of which, respecs on a test server should be FREE)

I was looking around to see what skills I needed to increase my BOFF efficiency, and I was floored when I highlighted Eject warp plasma...

First off, in order to be able to train eject warp plasma III you would need to get your Starship Engine Performance up to 9 and be an engineering captain...

You would think, then, that that would be the skill that would affect that ability...

WRONG

When I highlighted it, the skill that affects eject warp plasma is none other than Starship Particle Generators.

Same with Engineering team, the skill that allows you to train ET III is Technician, however, the skill that affects the ability is Hull Repair.


Has anyone else noticed this?

I truly hope that this skill system does NOT go live.

    Indeed. I have waited to complain, and simply made it known to the devs. They said this was the first pass and not completed. WHen they do the next pass update I expect many changes, if not...yup, I will be complaining.

    Ya i just noticed this also. A number of the skills makes less sense thern they did.
    Such as Training Engineering team 3, requires Technician, a Ground skill.

    Those seem to be leftover from the old system. I agree they should be revisited.
