Some things we LIKE

I'm sure by now Cryptic has a "suggestion box" FULL of pet gripes and problems that all of us have been vocal about. Soooo I thought that MAYBE the Dev team would like to know that we are not riding their case just to join the band wagon and try to point out a few things we LIKE.

One things I DO like VERY well is the gatling phaser ... It's well done. I like it .... a LOT ! There will be more to come.

For those of you who would like to post something that you LIKE (even from the current model) please post here. Please use good taste and judgement.

    I like that you no longer have to spend points in each specific energy weapon type.

    It is nice to be able to swap weapons around as needed. I think the next step to improve this though would be to create a system where you also skill up specific weapon types the more you use them. Random chance to gain a small skill increase (practice makes perfect).

    I like the idea of being able to invest skill points into enhancing an abilities effectiveness while also having a separate option to invest skill points into resisting those abilities.

    I think it's a bit too condensed, simplified (even dumbed down) in it's current version but the principle is sound. It encourages people to make strategic skill point choices but also serves to close the vast gap between a buffed and unbuffed ship.

    There might be a couple of other things but I'm concerned that all of this "over simplification" is going to hurt customization, variety, and a lot of what made this game fun to begin with. Sorry, I'll take the griping elsewhere.

    Well what I like...

    - I like the new STFs... though I hate loosing the old ones
    - I like the DOFF system (althouugh the "older" tribble versions were better^^)
    - I like the Idea of a unified currency... although the way it was done is just awfull
    - I like the fact that they finally rework the skill tree... but just like above.... it is DONE AWFUL
    - I like the event system... no downside yet^^
    - I like the basic idea of going f2p (since new people will come and may be old ones return) but, again: Handled awfull
    - I like that KDF ships get a little more attention now

    Sorry... guess its too hard to find anything good without its downside right now for me... :mad:

    I like some of the new uniforms (even the free ones) seem to be well done. I still like the idea of customizing our ships ( I hope that never changes ) . Some of the mission scripting has been redone and graphics updated .. THAT was ALL nicely done! ( I realluy should start keeping a note pad at my desk while playing to write specfic missions down. I can tell you that at LT lvl 8 that I like what I see from a mission script point of view.

    Oh we are speeking generally, I thought that was just about the Tribble stuff...
    Well generally there are more things I like...

    - The costumisation.... Still unfinished because of the lack of "halftering" functions and weapon costumisation, but its still awsome not to have to decide between style and substance. (Though KDF costumisation still needs a lot of improofment^^)

    - At least in the t5 area more or less balanced ships.... I have the luck that MY favorite ships are at t5 and I do not have to abandon my defaint because its weaker and not unsable in endgame. (More t5 refits would still be great)

    - The "@handle" naming... just realized that again when trieing DC universe.
    For some that might be a "Minor" issue but I hate when cant give my character a propper name and at some point even have to use random letter combinations (or add silly * or something like that...) because EVERYTHING is already in use.
    With the "@ Hanlde" we dont have that issue at all. And why shouldnt there be more then one "John" in the whole galaxy?
    So that is REALLY awsome.

    - the ability to have a whole crew. IMO still an unfinished feature... but still its great to have MY star trek advetures with MY crew and to be able to costumize them.

    soeey .. my bad. Yes .. BOTH the one that is on line AND Tribble. IMHO we need to post thnigs from BOTH.

    ie: I use to like the DS-9 fleet action. I hope to play that again with this new toon and see what happens. I would prefer to copy one of my other toons over BUT for some odd reason I can't.

    At any rate: back to the good stuff.

    I like being able to use a really good Bat'leth on my Federation toon ! It would be a good idea for "training" in those weapons to proficient with them.

    I like the way the inside of Earth Sapce dock looks as well as the ability to disable astrometrics.
