New Crafting(?) farming (?) and similar items

After spending a few days on the test server I can honeslty say that in order to do any amount of farming ther MUST be a change in how most of these items area acquired. Just to build the simplest of items "random" how ya get the basics is a total waste as it now stands.

Nothing worng with having crafting ... BUT as someone else pointed out in another thread . those items need to be worth the time of the players doing the crafting. ALSO: for more basic items finding, earning or farming those items needs to be more consistant as well as the location or "where" to find them.

By that I mean: (for example) .. If a player is looking for something as simple as "radiation samples" , those items (while possibly fond in "some places" might have a tendancy to be more "plentiful" in others. "Farming" is a basic necessity in ANY game that utilizes crafting.

I've looked over some of the patterns. Many of them need to be redone so that crafted items really are worth while. Some of the more basic items are ok, but the ability to "farm" them needs to be made more accessiable. Experience points should be based on the number of items crafted, not some other fomr of game interaction. Someone who has never crafted anything should not be able to craft "elite" items for example.

I'm certain that as crafting begins to mature that it can become a useful tool. However, this stage this "random" TRIBBLE shoot is not the right means of getting players on board.
