I posted this in a different thread but think it deserves it's own:
We need free and unlimited respecs on tribble if we are to have any reasonable chance at thoroughly testing the new skill system.
I mean, how are we supposed to test if we only get one shot at speccing? If I distribute my points around, and go play some missions, how am I supposed to know that weapons training is too weak, when I only have one data point with which to make conclusions?
It's one thing to be able to compare amongst ourselves "what did you assign, and how does it work" but it is far, far, far more effective to be able to create multiple builds yourself.
We need to be able to respec our characters, test out different levels of different skills, see what works and what doesn't, see what is effective and what is not. Only then can we start giving valuable feedback about what needs balancing.
I'm not saying this needs to be permanent, but as you guys have said yourself, it's tribble. It doesn't matter. Let us respec for free. Ultimately it can only positively affect what ends up on holodeck. At least in these very early stages when things may be seriously out of whack (and by some early reports, some things ARE way out of whack).
Even a moderated approach such as lowering the price of respecs in the tribble C-store to 10CP and giving everyone a 200CP bonus or something, that way everyone can still respec 20 times to test things out.
But if you really expect us to shell out $10 just to buy CP which then get mirrored into the tribble C-store, so we can pay 780CP/respec just to test the skill system...?
Wake up guys!
