So read the newest Blog, have been able to transfer over one character aafter deleating two others. but aparently I'm not being allowed to transfer over another. Somewhat frustrated
I've deleated two KDF characters to make room for transfers but was only able to transfer one characer in.
I have 2 lvlv 51 KDF characters on tribble, only one of whhich is a transfer character. I have a Lvl 51 Federation charater (transfer) and and a lvl 43 character (tribble native) I have deleted my original Federation tribble character (lvl-51) and a level 25, and 38 KDF chracters also to make room for transfers..I have additional Character slots but apparently the character transfer function does not recognize those.
I can live without aand additional transfer toon on Tribble, but I would like an idea of what EXACTLY do you folks want us to look at?
from DEV Blog #17
"We have not been getting as much feedback on higher end Klingon game play as we hoped, so if you have a Klingon character to transfer over, give it a try! Were looking forward to more Klingon feedback on the Tribble Forums."
WHAT HIGH LEVEL KDF CONTENT? There isn't any high level KDF specific content.
You hit Captain and after that it the Fek'lari, Breen and Undine arc. Only one of those arc is unique to the KDF. The Breen and Undine arcs are exactly the same as the Fed versions. We're doing STF's (i've possiblly run close to 300 or more STF runs at this point on Tribble.. anything you wanna know about 'em KDF side, feel free to ask, but if they're not broken or viciously stupidly hard I've got no feedback to give.
And the STF Uniform options are not yet in the Tailors are they?
Tell Steven that because the high level KDF content is exactly the same as the High level Federation content. missions work, but unless your going to throw some more content at us guys there is really nothing to test. If your talking about STF's ya'll have been getting lots of feed back. Including one KDF character.. ME writing a cure space walkthrough.
SO what is it thats so different that you opened up new character transfers asking speificly for KDF characters?
There are exactly 8 mission unique to the KDF in the mission progression..
Bringing Down the House
The House ALways Wins
Second Star to the right, Strait on till Morning
Keep Your Enemies Closer
Blood of the EMpire
Destiny
Afterlife
The Gates of Gre'thor
They all work fine.. Above that the missions are the same for the KDF as they are for the Fed's.. well, accept they have more of them. KDF have to do a little grindage to make up the lack. OUr story/mission progressions ENDS with the undine missions. After that run some exploration stuff and head off to STF land. Theres no PvP to speak of on Tribble. Its just not worth the frustration anyway. Theres been no actuall change in PvP on STO in months on end. other then I think a new PvP ground map got added if I recall correctly. and a couple maps still have exploits in them.. the same exploits they've had for months.
Ya'll haven't even fixed those yet so theres no real point to me spending my time on what I know is allready broken. After all, not to cop to much of an attitude about it, this is my time I'm spending. You guys aint pay'n me. And I consdier it an investment of my time out of the goodness of the deep burning hell pit of my heart. Damd well better be a pay off or I am gonna one utterly ****ed off Klingon, and Customer.
*gives D'angelo the stink eye* So what you got for us executive porducer man?
There really isn't much to do.. KDF progression is very fast not even counting the head start.
You could fix the graphic error with the Koro't'inga portrait in the ship yard showing the Vor'kang and NOT the Koro't'inga. And actually having the Vor'kang availible would be nice. Its in the ship yard but not selectable, and its not listed in the tribble C-store. Thats would be nice to see that fixed. Theres an occasional bug with the academy map where when you log in with a character that was lggged out at the Academy you appear above the "Administration area.. You can beam out, and move around to some extent there, but its easier to just beam out to first city and beam back if you need to check DOFF missions at the academy which other then the lore missions is the only reason right now to go there.
Be nice to have something to test KDF side..But I sure do not see anything new.
Skills revamp isn't ready yet
DOFF system is sorting itss self out. All the little tweaks on the back end have apparently worked them selves forward and are in place now. Thats down to minor stuff and fine tuning. Could use specific KDF and Federation DOFF catagories in the exchange or have opposing faction DOFF's greyed out. Crafting changes need to be implement KDF side along with the addition of the Harqh'peng torpedo's unless your using the KDF as a control.
So if your going to throw a TRIBBLE load of KDF content in NOW is the time to do it.. while you can. Skills revamp is going to have to be gone over carfull as soon as it goes live, but that does not preclude KDF content testing concurrently. More KDF content is desperatly needed MISSION content specificly.
Have you opened a dialog with foundry authors to convert the very best of the KDF Foundry missions to official content yet? Give em some C-store points, extra foundry mission slots, and add an opening flyby ala TREK to the missions with mission name and the authors handle or real name if they wish to the missions. tidy em up here and there and plug 'em in. Whats the hold up. Theres a fantastic resourse there. Why aren't you using it? STuff the lawyers, talk to the authors. I'm sure many of them recognize that this would be some great stuff to add to thier resume!
I too laughed when I read about lack of high level KDF feedback. That's because there is no high level KDF content to play! Perhaps they failed to correctly interpret the collective lack of feedback in this aspect.

WELL?
I can't speak for others but if Cryptic approached me about making some foundry content I made "official", I'd accept nothing less than cold hard cash for my efforts. They couldn't buy me off with worthless virtual goods like Cpoints or foundry mission slots, especially not if they're going to take my content and make money off of it (by way of enticing more people to play the game). Furthermore, Cryptic thus far has shown precious little in the way of customer appreciation or satisfaction. If Cryptic suddenly became my customer by wanting to buy my content, why should I extend the courtesy of giving them a good deal when they have done nothing but TRIBBLE loyal paying customers left and right with the F2P changes? Business is a two way street and I hope if this ever became reality, those foundry authors would not forget the past treatment of Cryptic.
And I think the majority of people who make foundry content aren't professional game designers, thus adding "my foundry mission became official Cryptic content" isn't going to mean squat on most people's resumes.
