Crafters Rejoice! Dilithium Can Go To 1 Toon!!

Hurray!!! With the new C-point Exchange system, we can now move dilithium between our own toons. I don't know if this was intentional, But it is awesome!!! :D I wasn't really tring to do it, I was just tring to buy more c-points. So I was swithching between my 2 toons on tribble to sell the dilithum for c-points on both my toons. I noticed the posting I made from my other toon was there. Which was normal cause c-points are account based. But I didn't like the exchange rate I set. Sooo, I picked up the dilithium with the toon I was currently on, which was not the toon I posted it with orignally.

This is wonderful news for those of us who have just one crafter in our multiple toons. Now you can shunt all your dilithium to 1 toon. All you have to do is post your dilithuim up at a high c-point exchange rate so nobody will buy it before you can switch to your crafting toon to remove it so you can craft with it.

If this was intentional, thank you cryptic!!! (some how I think its just a side affect lol!) I was really upset about dilithium for crafting specifically because I only have 1 toon on each side who can fully craft. But I farm emblems with all my toons for emblem gear. Now at least I can move that dilithium to my crafting toons. Woo Hoo!!!!

    dont get too excited.

it sounds like they might not allow that. you will still be able to pick up winning bids on any toon but you probably will no longer be able to post then cancel and claim on a second character.

the good news is crafting is getting at least one ore change so it may not even be an issue at the end.

Oh No! I figured it might be a glitch. I don't see why they would remove this ability though.

Or at least let us trade person to person. I wonder why we cannot sell our dilithium for c-points directly to a person. As long as they get money for the c-points, what do they care if a fleet mate wants to help me out and give me 1,000 c-points for 1 dilithium, or vice versa.

I too - am interested as to why we couldn't 'lock' transfers of dilithium to other characters on the same account.

What is wrong with the idea? It's not like it's destabilising the economy by doing so - it's simply moving dilithium from 1 character on your account to another on your account.

I'm hoping they set things up for crafting so it's not too easy to constantly throw out lots of high-end gear but equally isn't impossible to craft for a fleet.

I'd also like to add that I (and probably many others) who have fleet crafters wouldn't mind giving their crafters (or perhaps fleet) dilithium to be used for crafting.

Perhaps add this as a feature to the fleet bank - where anyone can deposit dilithium but only designated fleet crafters can withdraw it (and only so much per 24-hour period)?

honestly, if im going to be playing the dilithium exchange, i'd rather have a centralised amount of dilithium to work with.

having to buy things in little bits rather than just buying in bulk is something i honestly don't see the sense in.

Yeh, I'm sure I read they were trying to block us from doing this.

We are currently evaluating a change where orders could only be cancelled by the character that created them, and the escrowed Dilithium from a cancelled order would be deposited directly back into that character's personal balance rather than the account wide exchange balance.

They can't allow us too much freedom to play the game the way we want... we're not here to have fun you know! :p

I think this is a great idea! Since dilithium is gated per toon. There would be no reason to limit the deposit/withdrawl amount in the fleet bank. And if you can control this option like EC's, then the fleet leader can designate who can and cannot withdrawl you dilithuim, and how much.

This would also be a great way for fleets to reward there members. Maybe we can hold dilithum or c-point giveaways for events and what not. Just a thought.

I would be satisfied with simply being able to mail EC and Dilithium within your own account.

    Ok they fix this "bug"

But someone correct me if I am wrong here but lets see..

Post dilithium on your char that has extra... let it sell... get cpoints..
use C points to buy dilithium... from the character you want to have it.

..... So..... The official way of transferring from char to char just makes you take a bit of risk on the price fluctuation?

Seriously.. cryptic. Why work to prevent the transaction if you are allowing it to basically happen anyway.

    Same difference neh?
