There are some fundamental things that need to be fixed with this game before the F2P launch. Feel free to add whatever you guys think I have missed to these more annoying UI and AI bugs that have yet to be dealt with (some since LAUNCH).
UI
The UI will be the first thing new players see and the more they get frustrated with it or see and hear that these bugs have been around and ignored (some for a very long time) the more likely they are to just give up. A sleek, relatively bugless UI makes for better gameplay. What we have now is just frustrating.
- Delayed response - I should not have to press a button six times to get it to fire off!
- Blinking mail light, fix it or remove it I don't care anymore but I have the sound shut off in game because the signal chirp going off all the time is driving me nuts.
- One row ground toolbar - enough said on that one.
- Window priorities -
- Aid mission example - closing the inventory window after replicating something will close the mission response window half of the time.
- Scanning Anomaly Mission - upon scanning the last anomaly the finish the mission text pop up STILL over-ride the minigame.
- R&D and Exchange Windows - both over-rule each other and opening one force closes the other
- Boff Interaction - you still have to zone to interact with boffs to join/train/etc... when you purchase one from the exchange.
- Constant reshuffling of skills when swapping Boffs or ships.
AI
- Boffs - issues with pathing, falling though the floor, and non-rezing each other.
- Pathing - has always been an issue since launch and with forced mission progression this needs cleaned up. When people see their boffs jumping all over the place like mad cat-people (especially in rooms with containers) and standing on consoles etc... when fighting, it is going to be a turn off.
- Rezing - we still have not heard one peep about this issue that is localized to tribble atm. If this bug is allowed to go to Holodeck it will be messy. It is hard enough fighting the broken UI in shooter mode and navigating your skills, but then to have to run around and rez your boffs because they do not do it as often anymore well...
- Falling through the floor - well part of this is tied to their propensity for arcobatics and the other part has to be holes in the geometry of some zones. Again, this needs to be fixed before it goes live.
- Enemy Plasma Torpedoes - has this AI been fixed yet? I mean I appreceate the help the romulans give me in blowing each other an themselves up, but it is an issue.
