    Yes!

Just kidding. I don't do STFs, so I don't care.

Short answer: No. Though I still reserve final judgement for when elite STFs are opened up.

Long answer: Excessively long with stiff barriers to pickups while in progress, dooming many viable groups, and mixing many of the things that were wrong with early-EQ era raid content with small groups, creating scenarios calling for excessively restrictive class sets.

Maybe the new STFs weren't the best answer to those problems, but they are still an answer.

The people have spoken, they demand their easy epics!

EDIT: I vote to keep the STF's as they are on Holodeck.

    Yes

I enjoyed getting together with guys I played with and having to devote the time and energy to the task. The new version is too easy and doesn't require the coordination of a team that he old ones did.

I understand that many players struggled with finding teams, and then when they did find a team many times they broke up before the mission was complete. But I feel the game needs missions that require a large commitment of time and skill for players that enjoy that type of mission.

No, but that is just my personal choice. ;)
I dislike anything that resembles a raid from WoW!

Yes don't change them, keep what is on holodeck, but with some changes here and there.

I don't like the new STFs they remind me of the Amusement park "hit the target win a prize"

Don't split the STFs into ground and space it makes them less challenging.

ROFL Raid from WoW? At best STF"s are 5 man dungeons in WoW and they aren't even that difficult.

    Yes and No

No in that I enjoy that there are options for me to do now, when I have only an hour or so to play a night, that'll net me items. Also they are much more forgiving when you have idiots on your pug.

Yes, in that I will miss the times when I have longer to play, and when I play with friends that I know can handle a challenge.

Can we have both? Or at least the ability to run both the ground and space portions in sequence without having to regroup or start another queue?

I like the Holodeck STFs because they made for a great Fleet activity and presented some challenge in completing them. I understand that they were more difficult for PUGs to get into and certain gameplay mechanics hindered STFs when trying to invite people into an already existing STF run.

Tribble STFs, on the other hand, are much more convenient and easier to get into but they feel like every other daily grind mission. They can be completed by just about any PUG with little to no coordination.

So yes.. I think it makes more sense to go with the new STF setup but I would really like to see the option to run the entire STF as a whole. Fleet events that took a couple hours to do now take 10 minutes. Definitely will need to run these at the higher difficulties to get the full value from them I think.

    That's the idea.

Leave the old STFs alone except for bug fixes and some polish. Go ahead create new missions that are less involved and easier to complete when you have 45 minutes to play on Tuesday night.

Yes, it's a sad day when a game tries to remove epeen measurements. :p

I like the idea of seperating space and ground STFs.

STF's are not hard and are far from an epeen measurement. Anyone who cannot do them in their current state on Holodeck should just quit MMO'ing all together. There is a big difference between getting your epeen on and requiring more effort than to sneeze on a mob to get cool stuff.

goodbye old STF's and good riddence.

the new normal mode is better for casual players. Geared out players that know what they're about can whip the TRIBBLE out of 'em. It gives the F2P crowd something to aim for, and it will be doable for them with absolulty having to have the finest gear or ships. And that is really the point. Subscriptions will still be the bread and butter that keeps the servers up and the lights on. C-Store and micro transactions are going to be the Gravy that keeps the new stuff coming...

The elite mode. well... You want those MK-XII purples yes? You want those sweet Mk-XII sets.. well you better go get your self the MK X-XI stuff from the "Normal" versions first. And you better have your game on because they are still going to be hard. And easy mode bonus loot.. Wave byby in the elite versions most of the time you may simply not be able to pull it off. You won't want to be PUGing the elite versions.

SO defintaly a for the new STF's vote

Actually I'm 29, I'm big boned, have a full time job, own my own home, married and have 2 kids. I find plenty of time to do the easy STF's that currently exist on holodeck. Seriously if you get one person who knows how to do them and 4 people who can listen you can complete infected in less than an hour and the cure in less than an hour. Khitomer Accord is just a long drawn out combat especially with Donatra but it is still doable in little over than an hour.

If you can't find a good pug group to do it find a good fleet. There are plenty of fleets out there that are capable of making light work of the STF's and can even educate you in the simple enough strategies to run them.
