So I was wondering... what's the general consensus? Is it better to hold all my Emblems on all my chars for a rainy day and take them through the dilith conversion on holo? Or is it better to exchange them for Mk XI purp and sell them later in the auctionhouse after the transition?
I'm worried that all of our purchasing power is going to go down markedly, so it may be better to stock up on alot of extra Mk XI purp stuff while we have the chance.
It probably depends on what you would be doing with the dilithium after the conversion.
It will be more economical to buy your emblem gear now than wait for the conversion as the return will not be
completely equal. Although your lower ranked badges and emblems will be turned over so if you have a good stockpile of those, you may end up with more dilithium than you had emblems only.
The other part to keep in mind is that after the conversion you will be able to trade dilithium for c-points, although who is to say what the exchange rate will be. But you can't do that with emblems so there you go.
If you have mats for crafting the aegis set, I would pop them out now and wait for the conversion to throw them on the exchange as they are going to be getting a little harder to find since crafting rare or very rare high end gear will require dilithium.
Well I was thinking about doing the same thing, but then I visited the STF Vendor and noticed MK XII items were available there.
Stocking up on Mk XI could be a good idea, but you taking a chance that they will still be top of the line equipment when tribble goes live. Your chances are 50/50, but if I were to guess Mk XII will be coming out with tribble P2W I mean F2P comes out reducing the value of you Mk XI items.
Perfect World thru Cryptic from what I can see are trying to make all our current currency worthless Ex. Energy Credits, Badges, Emblems, and so on. They want and need us to grind for Dilithium or exchange C-Points for it.
With this new system they are coming out with it looks like they trying to kill the exchange. With having a Dilithium Tax being placed on crafting not many people will be placing those items on the exchange because all they get back is Energy Credits, basically just like items that take particles traces yes you can find them on the exchange but they are rare and very expensive.
You could take a chance, either save as much currency you can before tirbble goes live, buy items and sell now or after tribble goes live. I would post here what I am doing but I don't want to become to well knew or it would get nerf to ell.
