Have the required levels for episode missions changed?

I've been leveling up a Fed Sci toon from the beginning, and ever since I started doing the Romulan missions I keep having to level up before the next one becomes available.

I just reached level 31, and although in the "Starfleet Rewards" dialog it says "Access to Cardassian Sector Episodes" at level 30, I still don't have them. I'm only halfway through the Romulan front..."Taris" is the next mission in my queue, and that's not available either. I looked it up and the required level for this mission is supposed to be 28. Each time this happens to me, leveling up seems to be what fixes it.

So Cryptic...have the required minimum levels changed? If so you will want to actually put that somewhere so that we can tell what the hell is going on. That new "episodes" tab of the mission dialog would be a good place.

Yes, Cryptic has releveled the minimum level required for many of the missions in game. For example, you cannot start the Romulan Feature series until Captain 7. I do recall hitting an occassional spot where I had not reached the level required for the next mission. I think it happened about twice, when I leveled to 51 in Nine days.

    Incorrect.

You now have to do the missions in the exact order that they appear in the "Episodes" section of your mission tracker. ie., you will not be able to take a mission untill you have completed the mission above it.

Because of this, while I have allready reached VA, I cannot access Borg space, due to the fact that I have only done the first 2-3 Cardassian missions. I would have to complete EVERY mission on the front before being granted passage to Gamma Orionis.

While what you say is true, I believe Keppoch is also correct.

I actually am doing the missions in the exact order that they appear in the mission tracker. When this happens, I'm trying to run the mission that has a "Hail" button in the Episodes section. When I press that button it hails Admiral T'nae but the mission isn't listed.

This makes the game a lot less flexible in my mind...and it's very confusing to do a mission and then not be able to do the next one in the chain. An order within each front makes sense, but there shouldn't be any max level hurdles along the way. Also, there shouldn't be a dependency between the fronts. A minimum level to start a particular front makes sense, but the situation you are in doesn't. There's no good reason for that.

I agree, it took the free flow of doing missions and screwed it all up. Now you must do what Cryptic wants, when they want you to do it. Oh well, this must be one of the so called great changes i keep hearing the supporters of F2P and Cryptic talking about

Yeah, and the odd thing about it is that this change doesn't seem to be designed to generate micro-transactions the way other changes have been. It just makes no sense.
