If I put the time in getting the dilithium on character A, well why can I not just give the item to character B. Same goes for all items, if they are going to be bound, they need to be bound to the account not the character. Point is, I put in the time why should I have to put in the same time for every single character? To me the way the dilithium currency now works that would be a negative for people to start a new character, which means lower sales of additional character slots on the C-Store. That means you are cutting off some of your revenue stream while double penalizing your playrbase.
I agree, I have thought the same thing many times. And as you say, with the new economy It will feel even more frustrating. It should somehow be possible to swap items...
I disagree. I'm just going to keep replying to all these threads, so people don't think y'all are unanimous.
I still think that each character should be required to earn their own skill points, BO points, EC, gear, crafting levels, dilithium, and anything else earnable through play. If the only way to do that was to make every item in the game Bind on Pickup, I'd probably be for that, too.
If you want a character to have something, play the game with that character until they earn it.

Even WoW, the only American grindfest out there doesn't do that. Are you so in love with the game that you would shoot down any idea critical of how Cryptic does things? In Guild Wars i'm free to keep any drops I get to be used on any character I have. Runes, insignias, inscriptions, weapon mods, all available to be used and/or sold and traded as I see fit.

Completely agree, but dilithium = cp = cash, so don't hold your breath.
Not many of them mind..
A row of 16 slots that it.
A row that does not have the same restrictions of mail.
A subscreber perk.
Maybe a comprmise, and have some sets BOA.
Well I can see sets from the STFs or FEs sets and gear as bound to the character, but for all the stuff we generally use on any given day.
Or some currency BoA.
RIFT has BoA currency for their events. I don't see why we can't have Dilithium as BoA.
