I think cryptic seriously need to increase the stipend.
yes, there may be a similar post but I want cryptic to read this!
Cryptic could keep all the ships currently in game but make levelling harder (less xp, fewer badges per exploration complete pro rata for transfer to dilithium, no Ensign-Lieutenant upgrade until Ensign-10 has been reached etc) therefore giving meaning to the xp boosts and make the ships dilithium-only that are in the game now but reduced slightly for Gold members please remember Cryptic, any gold member has given you money because funnily enough, they might actually be a fan of Star Trek and they thought the LTS or subscription was worth it!
Cryptic, you are disappointing a lot of fans with what you have planned for F2P and a lot of lifers are seriously annoyed. The only way you can realistically expect to get money is when someone needs their top-tier ship, lower prices all across the board and give occasional discount at the c-store, this may encourage people to spend say....£10 or so, otherwise you are risking this game being very low on people's play list, perhaps just 'popping in' because y'know, they haven't for 6 months or a year!!!
what cryptic reallly need to do is lower the prices of the ships and items in the cstore... for a F2P game they are somewhat overpriced, Its better to have the stuff cheaper and sell bucketloads than sell for a lot and get fewer sales.....

This is a great idea, and really what F2P is supposed to be all about. Maximising player base and maximising monetary intake while not taking away from the in game worth of the items bought
Maybe I am too intelligent for some of the community but there is a difference between trolling and a simple disagreement.
Trolling is a deliberate negative response, not a simple disagreement. Need me to explain it? I won't waste my energy.
Regardless however, I stand by the increased stipend and lowered ship prices part of the thread which I think the whole community (intelligent and not) will agree on.

NOW you are trolling and by doing so just invalidated anything you had to say in the original post.

I agree, for the simple reason that you will not be in that ship for very long. They have done nothing for the speed at which we advance, and I have noticed on Tribble I seem to be advancing faster than on holodeck.
I enjoy a bit of nerdrage but i'll end the fun here before it goes crazy. I know I rattled a few cages, that's what a wind-up merchant does!
Sorry.
Lets look at the constructive parts of this post which I actually do stand for and mean:
1. Increased amount of Cryptic points pcm - this I believe would encourage cp bundles to be bought so players aren't waiting for example 6 months and it may 'passify' gold members.
2. Lower prices in c-store - Well ok, cryptic run the risk of people storing up points but then keep the c-store fun and up-to-date and I think you'd be surprised how many pay for stuff on f2p games, look at Perfect World and World of Tanks for example, you can do nicely in those games without buying special currency but loads do anyway.
These two are the serious points I was making, say for example I wanted the dreadnought cruiser from C-store, it costs 2000CP which is £16 or 5 months stipend and yes tbh I think there are things I would want to 'buy'
The way to fix these problems is simple. Readjust what Dilithium is worth and then readjust the prices to match that value.
First take the VA ship token (currently not available because of fear of people subscribing for a month and getting a free ship before they unsub). Lifers and Gold members deserve that token, regardless of other players who would cheat to get it. Taking it away is simply wrong. So, here's the way to keep it and keep people from gaming the system.
Readjust the price of VA ships (Galaxy, Defiant and Intrepid Refits) to a 15 dollar amount of Dilithium then readjust the prices of Dilithium for all other purposes around that new figure. That way the prices all get lowered, Lifers and Gold Members get their ship token and no one can game the system. Then there is no need for a higher stipend and everyone is happy.
And btw, lafiat.
Firstly, you did say that anyone who disagrees with you would be considered a troll. You did not distinguish between a real disagreement and a disagreement for the sake of trolling in your OP.
Secondly, insulting peoples intelligence is not going to win anyone to your side, regardless of whether you are right or not. Didn't your mother ever tell you? You attract more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.

I would recommend editing your first post or you will have a hard time getting any constructive criticism in this thread.
Two questions for you though:
What is the net benefit to Cryptic in what you are proposing? You mentioned the benefit to Gold Members but does that translate to a win for Cryptic?
Isnt this exactly what Cryptic is triyng to determine on Tribble? To find the right price range for items by having us use test points? If so, what can you provide that would sway Cryptic to believe your lower prices model would be more beneficial to them?

Actually I stated negative responses are troll posts, everyone knows the difference between negative responses and disagreements I hope....
Or maybe you aren't nearly as intelligent as you think.
Maybe I am and more so
Anyway, keep on track here, the guy who asked the questions above made a good point, what benefit is it to cryptic? Well, it keeps customers happy.

No, the baic ships will stay available.
There will be premium ship availbe for each rank.
Also, subscribers and Lifers will still get a free non-premium ship at each rank. F2P players have to spend dilithium.
Yea, and another OP speaks for everyone.
A handful of forum posters, that all things considered, represent a small amount of the player base, make such claims.......
PS to the OP, negative responses are opinions, that's what we are allowed to have. You can't set your own rules for a thread, that is "Forum 101".
The exception to this is at RAUH and VA, you will not get a free ship token.
First, someone disagreeing with you is not a troll. Second, you aren't the grand arbiter of what constitutes a troll post.
Your thread fails before it even gets started properly.

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make it a troll post
