Title says it all.
I have been doing the Episodes as they become available for my rank, but they are to high as far as availability, let me explain.
Before, if you were sufficient rank, you could do any episode at any time, now you must be a spcific rank to even get the mission, sounds good in theory, but in application it fails.
I am still on the Romulan episodes but i am NOT high enough to continue the series, much the same as its been since i picked up the series. Now it doesn't seem that big of a deal, but i am almost done in Cardasian space, and still have Romulan episodes to complete, and still DO NOT qualify for the Cardasian sector episodes.
Before, the main series/story arc missions were done in tandem with the patrol missions, now it feels disjointed, or removed from the game play.
Solution is simple, remove, or just restore the old level requirement for F.E. The new system seem to just fragment the whole story arc, your completing missions but have no idea what is going on in the sector you having to grind in because your not high enough level to complete the previous level.
The story missions, in terms of dificulty and skill rewards, all scale now, so if you rocket through the Klingon and Romulan fronts you should be able to do the cardassians at a lower level than before. (or if not, you should continue grinding in the previous area until the new front opens up)
If you've leveled past a certain area, such that the grinding around there is too low, that's an artifact of Tribble as I understand it. They pumped up the story mission XP rewards considerably to get people testing higher level stuff faster.
Overall, the only things I feel Cryptic needs to do to the mission structure iss open up new episodes at the level gates they used to open (e.g. open Romulan at commander whether you've finished Klingon or not), and make sure that all the mission rewards scale with the mission difficulty.

You can not except a F.E. until a predetermined rank now. So lets say just through normal patrol missions you open a episode every level of a rank. This makes it so that you can not finish lets say the Romulan/cloak intentions series until you have completed the patrol missions in Cardasia space because of level restrictions.
Before, if you were 26? i believe, you could do any F.E. mission, now you cannot, you must finish the prtevious episode series listed on the available mission tab.
This means you are out leveling the episodes because you have completed all of the DS9 area missions, but still need to go back to Romulan space and finish the episodes there BEFORE you can start the story arc/F.E. in cardasia.
Basically i can not start the cardasia mission arcs/F.E. until i am completely out of Cardasian patroil missions
