Crafting Idea

So, as anyone who crafts knows, the crafting changes that came out today are not good. Now, I'll admit that crafting in this game is pretty weak and while I completely disagree with Cryptic's attempt to shove dilithium down our throats, I do thank them for trying something new.

Now, here's my idea on how crafting could be changed. Keep everything that is currently craftable (including the new mk items) at the same requirements that they are on Holodeck, minus the purple items. For purple items, if you pay a very small amount of dilithium (which increases with the higher mk items), you can choose the three modifiers for the item. The only stipulation is that you can't have all three be the same modifier.

So, what do you guys think? Anything else you'd like to see added or different?

I officially hate this idea to add Dilithium to the crafting system. it is Totally unacceptable, and the first change an didea I TOTALLY HATE> The idea to actually start warning people away from STO just crossed my mind.

Turn the crafting system Dilithium requirement off. PERIOD. I HATE THIS IDEA.

For many reasons. first is Since I only have a few characters who are Crafters, it forces me to level my crafting skills on ALL my NEW CHARACTERS. because I can't trade dilithium to my other characters from them and to save my sanity I only have 3 / 4 crafters on holodeck.

This is a terrible idea, I hate it, stop this particular change NOW. for the first time, I actually HATE the idea that the DEvs have put on the Tribble.

Here is an idea NO TO DILITHIUM unless they intend to make the items crafted better than the vendor items. Since this won't happen the answer is NO TO DILITHIUM IN CRAFTING.
    D/S+P/T+DILITHIUM=EPIC FAIL

terrible. terrible terrible tribble. terrible terrible terrible idea.
Keep crafting something for people who WORK for it. You should be rewarded for being smarter than the people who buy items from the dilithium vendors. NOT PUNISHED!!!!!!
If this concept in any iteration goes live I expect everyone who isn't a lifer to cease playing altogether.
You expect to be able to compete with SWTOR with ideas like this, STO team?

Bad idea with the crafting now. Additng the dilit to the crafting is wrong on many levels. First since it is untradeable that means even single toon you have has to level crafting. I'm not sure about you guys but I rather have one toon do the crafting. I don't relish the idea of having to level my other toons just to craft.

Why did they add this to the crafting. Do they want people to actually stop crafting, because that is the way it is headed.

I dont' mind the crafting but if I have to use the dilith along with the mats, it' not worth it. Most I'm guessing would just rather not craft. The data isn't that hard but both come on STO gives us a little credit. This is a horrible idea.
