Orion Dacoit Flight Deck Cruiser

Wasn't sure where to put this as there is no Official threads for ship feedback.

First off I love the new 'Dacoit Corvette' (as it displays in-game), it is as beautiful as the Orion women who will fly them :D, CapnLogan I Salute you.

However after flying around in it for a bit (it's quite fun by the way) I noticed a few issues with it, the main one being the Deflector dish has no glow http://i.imgur.com/reCVm.jpg :(

Also there it a few issues with the windows and escape pods, some are glitching into the hull, are a little wonky or are spoiling some of the lovely Orion Detailing http://i.imgur.com/WydH6.jpg

Apart from these few things I am loving the ship and am looking forward to taking it's big sister for a spin later :D

Edit: Oh and forgot one thing, you can't customise it in the ship tailor....it just doesn't appear, submitted a bug about it but forgot to note the ticket number.

    None of the new KDF ships (at least the couple I purchased to try out) have customization options. Suspect its because they quickly hammered the new ships out for testing, and the assets aren't ready yet.

    I noticed an issue with the interceptors. After a battle, all of my Interceptors were destoryed, so I launched one wing as escort. I then went to full impulse to go to the next enemy target. Since the interceptors did not follow at full impulse I left them far behind. When I got to my target, I launched a second wing. Normally, if I try to launch a third wing, then first would disappear, since only two wings can be out at one time, but that wing was very far away. There for the fighters that were near me were the ones that disappeared. I was a little Irritated.

    We're fixing the not-going-to-full-impulse issue.

    Plenty of the "old new" ships don't have customization options either. It seems normal for KDF ships to lack such options.

    I have the big sister with the tachyon drones, it's an interesting ship to fly :) But someone could tell me what spec it requires? Seems to work just fine with Battle Cruiser for some reason, so no grimes, but would be nice to know if I need to respec to carrier. Oh and there's one major flaw.. I have transwarp to ESD >.>

    I don't think the have a specific skill to pilot them as the space skill tree revamp 'should' be on Tribble next week so there won't be any ship specific skills anymore.

    Oh and the Transwarp to ESD that is a pain, was funny though picked up some Doff assignments in the Serrius sector on my way back to Qo'noS :p

    Personally, i believe that the "Marauding Horde" should be renamed as what they are: "Assault Shuttles"

    I'd also like to see them remain a console placement, with the ability to add interceptors or other fighters to the Hanger slot, considering that the Maurader requires a high enough rank to merit being a multipurpous carrier. Or even a second (empty) hanger slot that players can put another fighter type in.

    So far all the Orion Flight Deck Carriers fall under the Cruiser heading - you can tell by looking at their passive bonuses, which match those of other cruisers.

    A beautiful ship series, really - much improved over the previous design of Orion NPC ships!

    What I would like to see in the future:
    • Tier 1 or 1.5 Orion ship - A basic alternate starting ship for Orion players.
    • Tier 2 Orion Cruiser - possibly with a hanger slot, even if empty at first.
    • Tier 3 Orion cruiser - possibly with a hanger slot, even if empty at first.
    • More optional craft for the Hanger slot/s: Bombers (like Interceptors, only using torpedoes instead of beams); Heavy or Assault Fighters (beams and torpedoes, but probably in squads of 2 instead of 3); Repair Shuttles, AWACS...
