I doubt it took me that long to unlock everything. In fact, I think I needed half the time of that at most. You don't have to spend more time there than needed, though of course it's appreciated when you do.
I calculated that I get for over 110 Euros worth of goodies and that was without the dilithium added on top of it. (I have 11 chars and the more chars you have, the more value you get, if I only had 1 char I'd get for less than 20 Euros woth of goodies.)
I don't regret my time spent testing, despite the frustrations it is nice to see the incoming changes. Also, if I received a 100% reward for my time spend I'd not be helping out Cryptic, but working for Cryptic instead. I'd basically be on their pay roll then and I'm not sure how I could explain that to the tax department. Especially not when they ask me to pay taxes on the goodies I earned by testing for Cryptic.
Look this isnt about you OP. This is about us hopefully helping Cryptic make a better game. The fact they offer anything as a reward is totally awesome.
I think you guys took the post a little too literally......i could swear i sensed a small degree of sarcasm in there somewhere.
Yes Cryptic is getting a good deal, and we are getting something while at the same time hopefully helping the game to get better.......we can hope anyways.
Of course the reward won't be worth it. I'm testing a few things but honestly I'm expecting nothing more than another title, a tribble and a costume item.
But then again, according to some, we've been beta testing for over a year now as well......
At this point, I'll be happy if the KDF side DOFF system ever gets a way to score tier 3 or 4 in a CXP category. At the present rate, I don't expect many (if any) Klingon characters on Tribble will be able to score the highest DOFF testing reward.
Then again, I'm not even sure Diplomacy counts on the Fed side, in which case it's just as bad there.

Diplo gets nuked, so probably noone will reach the t3 reward. Im searching all the time for medical missions now, but they seem to have dried up for now and i ma stuck at 7k xp...

By my knowledge you only need to get the commendation up to tier 3 on either side. It was nowhere mentioned that you need to do it for both the Klingons and the feds. This wouldn't make sense either since the Klingons opened up a week later and started with a big disadvantage.
It was already stated by Heretic that the diplomacy commendation will count. It was also stated that once it gets reworked you keep the same tier you have achieved at that moment.
It doesn't hurt to get a 2nd commendation up to tier 3 though, so that's what I'm currently working on. My diplomacy will hit tier 4 tomorrow or the day after (going for t4 for the ds9 transwarp reward and because it was easy to do so with the doff system) and I'm also working on medical exp, which is at about 17k/50k now. I don't expect to hit the 50k though, but Heretic already said that the amount required for t3 and t4 will get lowered. I don't know if currently gained exp will stay unaffected, but we'll find out about that in several days from now with the patch update.
What always makes me laugh and cringe at the same time is people that go into a test server looking to make out like they had a contract for $. Please people - its a test server and we volinteer to help find bugs and try to break things.
Cryptic like any over developer I have ever beta tested for - "always" gives the folks that stuck it out and helped something in the endl. Be it ingame gear or a free copy of the game b4 launch. Something I have pondered often is why anyone would help out on a test server of an established game if they did not have a passion for the game and desired to have a chance of verbal input to help influence the outcome of something that they cared about.
I could go on and on but bottom line - if you do not have a desire to volinteer and do not enjoy yourself (at least most the time) don't bother jumping on any test server. And please don't come onto the forums for said test servers and whine about it. ;)

lol wat.. noone forces you to play test... minimum wage for voluntary work is 0, so you actually have earned 0 which would equal 0CP.

What you said makes perfect sence in bizzaro world.
