I don't need another worthless RA ship cluttering up my yet to level toons, I want a "unique" shiny VA ship as I have "always" had when attaining VA.
Token whiners (myself among them, though not vocally) got a pretty sizable bone thrown to us with a Gold perk built in to boot. I really think, rather than make a fuss over being one token short, we'd better serve ourselves, Crytpic, and the community, by raising hell over the C-Store prices instead. Though maybe I just have different priorities.

I need to ask. In holodeck, I still have a free token for a VA ship, because I have a excelsior. So, I will lost my token ?
And my respecs ? I used only one. I will lost the others ?
How about a C-Store ship Token that would allow a character to purchase any single ship in the game (including VA Retrofits and plus one's), but only on "per-character" basis, not account wide?
Purchasing a ship as they are unlocks it for the whole account. That means that every character will have access to that ship, will be able to discharge it, claim it again, etc.
A token I propose would be what we basically get now as we level up - a single purchase. No reclaims, just for one character. The exception would be that one can get any ship from the Shipyard.
Yeah, one would still have to spend C-Points (or exchange Dilithium), but the overall amount would be significantly smaller. Cryptic would still get money, while players would be able to choose whether they want a ship "forever", or just for that single character they'd like it to fly.
I do realise it's not "WE WANT IT FOR FREE!!!111one" solution, but it would be some alternative at least.
I.E keep the VA ship token we have now, there is absolutely no legitimate reason not to.
You act like it is the end of the world without it. I can successfully fly VA with any ra ship. sometimes I prefer the RA ships...
Its is not the capability of the ships that matters.
What matters is that by removing the VA token they are lowering the value of being a Gold Member.
And TRIBBLE us over by removing a firmly established primary feature of the Rank and Game.
And I do not appreciate being cheated, nor do I want to see others get cheated.

As to the c-store token, that could be one way IF you dont mind the p2W, however Im really agianst this idea, why there sould be something for you to work for at the very least, however the price is way to much, even @ 8k dil a day / 140k = roughly a 58 day girnd just for a VA ship. That way to high of a grind, even with the dil excahnge. So differently need to lower the grind down on that. In less they are wanting pays to buy the c-store ships, which would not surprise me.
As to the questions realting to the pre-exisiting VA token, Ill be willing to bet they wont be getting remove form the character invortory.
Finally a 58 day grind is just way to much to get a Defaint-R or wahtever else. It sould be at the very least half of that in my opion, that is setting up a hugh disadvatange for new characters/players. Just my two cents.
Obtaining a VA ship with dilithium will become completely unreliable, and it could take as long as a week or 300 days to obtain a VA ship, all dependant on the going market prices on the C-Points to Dilithium trade.
And quite frankly, i find that unacceptable, and completely intolerable without the VA tokens.
Silvers are only getting two ship tokens at Lt. Cmdr and Cmdr.
Golds aren't getting shafted here, relatively speaking. They get twice the free ships Silvers get. Gold subs do in fact get a little value from this.
Umm we are still getting shafted because we are getting "less" then what we have now on holodeck.
Im all for supplemental C-store ships but they have to keep the standard 3 ships choices per level for free. Consider the long term, once we get Tier 6? Tier 7? Do you think we are going to magically start getting tokens again?
No its going to set a precedent at the tiers after VA not getting a free ship with it. The apologists should try thinking long term, but short sightedness is rampart on these forums.
Leveling Chaining? It just takes one mission, ONE to mess up the chain and gate players from ever progressing until a patch. That will be unacceptable on live. People wanting Doffs to take forever to do? Consider they will suredly be extending the system, tier 4 wont be the end, its just a start, but it does no good if less then 10% ever reaches tier 4.
