Platinum Solution to missing VA tokens et all?

It seems alot of people feel Gold Members under the current system are getting a nerfed, degraded Experience from what is currently on live. Well there is a solution to that, Cryptic should take a page from SOE and add a third level to their Matrix instead of just Gold and Silver levels add a all inclusive Platinum Level that sees VA tokens added, and C-Store content minus Services for free along with a substantial Dilithium Stipend.

Or something there bouts. I highly doubt Cryptic and PW are willing to do the right thing by current subscribers and not deliver a equal or greater experience then currently exists on like for subscribers, so the next best thing is a third sub level.

    So you're suggesting people should pay more for what they already get? That's kinda ridiculous.

    Would you then move Lifetimes to Platinum? That would cause the normal subbers (golds) to get upset, since we pretty much all got the same thing, and now they'd have to pay more to get what they had before F2P.

    No, keep it 2 levels: silver and gold. They just need a little more tweaking to make it more attractive to actually subscribe.

    They arent giving gold members what all subscribers currently have on Live, gold members get a degraded experience. I dont see cryptic removing the grind for subscribers and offering VA Tokens and a host of other things gold members want, so I am suggesting if cryptic offers a higher priced sub which gives people everything they want and all C-Store content, it might be a solution to all the anger.

    Does anyone actually believe PW/Cryptic are willing to do what it takes to make gold players happy?

    I think what he is saying is to adopt a 3 step plan similar to other games like LOTRO that have have Free, Premium and VIP as an example.

    Silver: Free Players
    Gold: Players that have previously subscribed, have more access than Silver but less than Platinum, retain "some" of the perks from subscription.
    Platinum: All active subscribers.

    I'm opposed to both paying more for what I'm getting on live now AND getting less for what I'm paying for on live now.

    The trade off to paying more would be everything in the C-store for free. But basically this all has come up because currently, Gold Members ARE getting less then what current users have on holodeck.

    Alexraptor has it right, it seems to work in those other games.
