Red Quality/Rarity DOFF?

How about a 1 use DOFFicer who is "RED" quality/Rarity? You use him/Her on a mission and they never come back. It would be a cool way to add classic Redshirts to the game.

    Haha, that'd be awesome. Maybe they'd drastically reduce the risk of disaster but always perish themselves. Take one for the team, so to speak.

    Interesting idea. You could have it set up so that you use a red DOFF on high casualty rate assignments and they guarantee the rest of the DOFFs won't die, dieing themselves. They wouldn't guarantee success or prevent failure, nor prevent the other DOFFs from going to sickbay, but they would prevent death.

    Maybe they could be purchased with dilithium?

    Honestly, this would be a great feature, and these Redshirts could be ultra rare, but available at all levels.

    Your common doffs already don't come back. Just use a Security DOFF.

    I love the idea.

    If you include a red shirt in a mission that noone dies then noone dies - but if chance determines that someone dies it will only be the redshirt.
