Latest changes with Dilithium and Ships and tokens....Step Forward.
Removing In-Game way to obtain VA ships...Step backward.
Honestly, is there any reason, besides money that all the non +1 ships (those you are purchasing the console and costume) shouldn't be free? No there isn't, the current system is working and has worked for 1+ years. Now you scrap that system, just because your going to a F2P model?
Every rank you have the ability to purchase and upgrade your vessel. But now Cryptic has removed the top tier ships. Why? Only thing I can see is money grab. As it stands now, the system is perfect, you get a new ship at VA, if you want an additional VA ship, you pay the money. It would be better to have the ship available for a token and Dilithium. I would even go for pure Dilithium amount, but it would still be available in game without the use of the C-Store.
Yes, Dilthium can be exchanged for C-Points. But what a hassle, you have to find someone willing to spend the money to purchase c-points then, they post in the Exchange to buy your Dilithium, then trade Dilithium for C-Points, just to get a ship? Just allow us to buy the ships in game for Dilithium. I just don't understand why Cryptic is going this route. Honestly it saddens me to see all Dstahl's work pushing to make everything available via some method in game tossed aside.
