Tribble and the Updates

Hello,

I had a question regarding the new F2P blog that just came out about the new ships being put on Tribble for testing. I was going to post my question there, but I've noticed the influx of comments and questions, and I doubt I will get my question answered there.

The question i have dates back to when STO stated that they would not allow us to transfer our characters to the tribble. Rather, we would have to start from the beginning to go through their tutorial. However, since many of the ships being introduced on tribble are going to be for higher ranks - I would think it would be a lot easier to transfer my character, rather than spending months ranking up my tribble character (when by the time I am done the ships would have probably moved to the holodeck).

Does anyone know if this has been done yet? Or will I be able to test the new ships regardless of my rank?? someone help please.

If it takes you months to level a character on tribble you are doing something very wrong. It shouldnt take you more than a week or two even at the most casual pace.

Korhil is right. The XP gain on Tribble is much more than Holodeck and leveling is extremely fast. Playing casually I made VA in a little over a week. It's very easy. Just log in and play.

Forgot to mention, just do the story missions. The patrols don't have the boosted XP.

The Duty Officer system is also good for some extra XP (and it's fun, too).
