We will be bringing down Star Trek Online on 10.13.2011 from 6:00AM to 9:00AM PDT (1300 to 1600 UTC) in order to perform general maintenance . We will provide an update once the maintenance has been completed.
I don't see anywhere that it says there will be a patch. It's just general maintenance. As well, there's no mention this will affect Tribble, so just like the last maintenance we had, I except Tribble to be up while Holodeck is down.
Tribble is not showing on the launcher now. Apparently it was taken down for maintenance?
I just tried too...only options are Holodeck & Redshirt. So, I'm going to have to guess they took Tribble down to (hopefully) fix some of those bugs. Either way...looks like I can't play before work today; which means I'll be out till Monday.

I still see another hour to go from the time of this post...
I am continually amazed at folks who ask such repetative questions when the answers are already right in front of them.
Well, I can agree that their time is somewhat hard to know. Dunno really what PDT is, but they say 13.00 - 15.00 UTC)..What UTC? +1 +2 +3 +4 +5 +6 or -1 -2 -3 -4?
We need a clock on the website with the actual time of the game so we know with certainty what time it is when the patches or maintenance are in effect so people dont keep asking how long?
"You may have noticed that while we have been posting to acknowledge that various game play elements are not working, we are not posting how we intend to fix them. We are not telegraphing changes until we get a chance to try them out internally to make sure that theyre satisfactory. Usually this happens all the way up until the next build makes it to Tribble. I have told the team that it's better to be quiet than to post answers that turn out to be different from what we actually end up doing. Misinformation can be worse than silence in some cases."
Dear Mr. D'Angelo, I get your point, but I can not agree. Silence is a breeding ground for rumors.
but they say 13.00 - 15.00 UTC)..What UTC? +1 +2 +3 +4 +5 +6 or -1 -2 -3 -4?
UTC is is UTC, +/-0, worldwide, in the golden days it was called GMT but that was acually considered missleading as the local time in Greenwich may differ from GMT when the English apply daylight saving time.
You have to know the modifier for the timezone and date you are in, then you can calculate the local time. E.g. if you are located in the same timezone as Stockholm today (daylight saving time applied) the modifier will be UTC +2, that means 16:00 UTC is 18:00 UTC +2 = 18:00 in Stockholm.
As they don't know where you are located, they can not give you your local time. (Actually they could by e.g. interpreting the header of your http request, provided your browser supports it and is set up correctly, but that would be overdoing it a bit. I'm already quite happy they give UTC, which is not common for U.S. located companies.)

I seem to recall the Tribble announcements are in a separate section.

Normally you could download the new build shortly before the servers go up again, but this time - zip
I hope this has nothing to do with the Dev Blog #9... http://www.startrekonline.com/node/2653

Hope you are right...
Just dont understand why they would bring down a global server without aplying patches... maybe its just me.
Thanks
* Edit: They posted the time in PDT - looks like another 1/2 to go...

However, it's now about 16:30 UTC.
