The Defiant's transporter room reminds me of the transporter room on Regula Space Station in WOK/ESD in search for Spock. Only with a much smaller pad.

And now that I have seen this I just can't be mad and downbeat. ... and Klingons are not supposed to be all sunshine and rainbows!

Stormshade, did you not say once that you enjoy playing Klingon? .... rainbows and sunshine on the forums indeed! ... How will you get into Sto'va'kor without the battles of heated discussions and zombie threads to challenge you?

Even Zero ( who melts my Klingon heart ) understands the joy of TOS diplomacy!

BTW. Enterprise is MY favorite series and yes .... I also have the hots for Capt. Janeway!!!

    Qapla' !!!!

.... and thank you to the devs for all their hard work. I raise a mug of bloodwine high as I sing the songs of your glory!!!

Very impressed with the Defiant interiors, will more ships get an interior revamp over time? The usual one is...well a tad bland to be honest.

Also the glimpse of new non-space additions are interesting, does this mean we might get a mission where we get to EVA on the hull of our ship, like if the ship is heavily damaged and boarded and the only way to get to each area is to don the EV suit and go for a space walk?
That would be impressive to see if it's matched to whatever ship is being used at the time.

Stormy = looks a LOT like a buddy i served with in Iraq, that I have beers with once a month at the VFW. LOL

Zero = looks like a future ex-Mrs. Darkstar lol

Well, I am glad to see the Klingon stuff made it to this eposide (Kind of found it funny that it was imeaditely the first thing shown.. :p) Some of the abilities the ships will come with are kinda Meh to me. But I'm sure they will have their uses here and there..

The new +1 Voyager is kinda awesome looking, even from a Klingon fan, that ship looks like it's the best out of the three that were shown from the Federation side.

All in all, looks interesting what is being worked on. I'm sure I'll break down and buy something. Weither it's the new Defiant with it's Quad Phaser Cannons, or the new BoP with it's Quad Disruptor Cannons. (Not sure how I feel about the X-Wing like design of that one.. )

And one last thing, Zero, you are hot! :D

Edit: Btw, if the Dev Team can have a dog, when can the Feds have Dogs? :D

Great interviews, STOked. The conversation with Zero, Farktoid and Stormshade had me envisioning the five (six? Who was the doggy mascot?) of you around a TOS briefing room table. ;) I'm glad you were able to dig in and show us how broad the Dev team really is. I'm looking forward to Part 3.

It was really nice to tour the Defiant interior. Nice to see that some of the player suggestions from long ago might have helped improve the presentation. Those sectioned bulkheads in the corridors come to mind. I recall that suggestion for the TNG styled corridors of our earliest interior corridors. I look forward to seeing this contemporary approach phased into the game enough to replace the early deck layouts.

another great episode from the STOked team, and absolutely great to see the faces behind the names at cryptic, glad to see that you guys really are passionate about the community that we all belong to, stormshade is right in what he said, that we as a community are here because we love and are passionate about star trek, we need to embrace the new community of f2p players and help ease them into the world that we all belong to and love. for in the end it is for all our benefits that we make them feel welcome.
great job all, oh and zero you really are one fine lookin lady..i bet the perv factor is on high when you walk past everyones offices..lol, i shall definately be getting the new intrepid variant when it comes out, oh hell i'll probably get most of the ships shown on the program, as i love the fed and klingon side that my characters belong to. brilliant keep up the good work guys.. TIME. :)

That Defiant interior is the way all interiors in the game should look like.

Oh and please keep the yellow LCARS panels that you currently have in that interior. After seeing yellow LCARS throughout most of the series everything else looks wrong.

I also like that it looks like it isn't just the same 6 LCARS screens that are just pasted in randomly around the ship like in the current interiors.

I fly a big cruiser, but I will use the Defiant interior until a new Galaxy interior gets released.

I believe I've seen Tholians in the prototype stage! Of course, they're crude, but with some more work on it we'll see them walking! :D

Klingon ships are looking sharp and I really like the Nausicaan destroyer-class designs and the console ability to dump out theta radiation to kill shields!

Defiant interior: just purely amazing! I was especially touched by the engineering room and how accurate it is.
Note: Please fix the bridge officer clone bug before you release this one!

Roundtable discussion: It's nice to see some developers in person instead reading all the time only names of them and what they post. If you want: makes them more human. :p
Great message of Stormshade: We're one community who love Star Trek and shall embrace the new influx of players! I subscribe this one!

    P.S.: what's the dog's name?

This is just more evidence for my personal theory that 95% of the bad stuff we're seeing with F2P is being forced onto Cryptic from outside.

Anyway, love the new Defiant interior, though I thought the transporter room was a tad large compared to the closet we see on screen. I guess that's upgrades for you.

Like others, I'm not sure about the X-wing, though the addition of quad disruptors should head off PVP balance complaints.

... and then they drop that Defiant Interior on us like this.
Almost makes me like them again. :D
If I stay in teh game, it's a sure sale for them, just liek the TOS bridge pack.
See, THAT is what we want and are willing to pay for!
    Pure awesomeness!

For that other stuff... dilithium and all. This will decide if I will be there to enjoy the new bridge (and hopefully many others following).

Introduce more ways to earn dilithium and get rid of or significantly raise the refinement bar (so much that it only bothers gold farmers anymore) for subscribers and you have a happy player back.

A couple more ships that cost extra, nope.

I liked how a few of them looked and that's about it.
