2000 for the MVAM? Really!?

Ok, the boost in C-Store ship pricing on Tribble really makes it difficult to not be totally cynical about what Cryptic's doing with the F2P. Really difficult, especially considering how much more artificially-enticing the C-Store ships are with all the dilithium-grinding that's requried of us now.

But bumping the MVAM up to the same cost as the Gal-X and the Gumby? How many other ships is that going to happen to!?

    Yeah its pretty ridiculous.
The ONLY reason the Galaxy X cost that much was because it was a "referr a friend" reward.
The Guramba gets its price tage because its the direct counterpart of the Galaxy X for the Klingon Faction(though Ironicly, its not given as a referr a friend reward to Klingon players, thus giving them the short end of the stick)

The price increase I think is to offset the stipend for the Gold members.

It’s like raising the price 20% the night before they offer a 20% off sale. It gives the illusion that something is being bought at a discount when it’s not.

See that way Cryptic can say there giving a stipend when in reality there not.

Ah, yes, you have just described what is known as a "bait-and-switch." It's not legal. Good thing for Cryptic the new prices don't cost real money... yet.

    2000 points = $25

Fairly obvious Cryptic raised the prices as a means ot TRIBBLE LTS and subscribers for a few more months with their stipend to encourage them to buy the ship rather than wait that much longer. I'll also lay good odds Cryptic pulled this stunt on Tribble so folks would panic buy things for cheaper on Holodeck.

Combine that with the 'Buy Test Points' it amply underlines how extremely shady and pathetic Cryptic are becoming with their policies. I fully expect these prices will hit Holodeck in full force or Cryptic will attempt to backpedal and lower them as an attempt to appear benevolent while getting the cash of folks panic buying on holodeck.

Naturally in time to bring more C-Store stuff and introduce the Dilithium Real-Money-Trading store which they claim allows folks to get C-Points 'Free'
