Just purchased the game and after entering my username and pw I click submit and nothing happens. I've tried IE and Firefox and I get no responce. Would really like to try the game this weekend and would rather not wait till tuesday when my ticket will most likely be responded too. Anyone know why I am having this problem??
Great, a long weekend and 3 days of my free 30 days lost cause Cryptic doesnt work weekends. This must be the lousy custermer service I've heard about:mad:
Your not the only one having issues so it's not just you.
I've been waiting 18 months for a ticket to be replied to; never mind actioned. My klingon TOON couldn't be logged in (Invalid map or something similar on every login including safe mode). Eventually I just deleted the character. If you do get a reply let us know so we know the "Support" team is real and alive.
Thanks for the reply Jay. The exact problem I'm having happens when you get redirected to a new window to enter your credit card information, you are asked to log in again, when I enter my info the screen simply blinks and deletes my pw. I've tried this with Firefox and IE and had the same result.
Sounds like a cookies enabled issue or some sort of HTTPS problem; not sure if your a technical user or not so if any of the below doesn't make sense to you - let me know.
There is several things you can try:
If you use autocomplete or site remember password or keepas (password manager) turn it off, make sure your typing your username and password into the fields manually.
Make sure your not using private browsing mode (where the cookie cache is held temporarily) it can cause problems on HTTPS sites. The Cryptic payment system is secure therefore is a HTTPS site.
As unlikely as it sounds a popup blocker or firefox add-on might be interfering especially anything McAfee branded.
It could be security software deleting your cookies (Norton and McAfee are known to do this on occasion). Please check your security software is not automatically detecting and deleting the cookie.
An HTTPS problem or issue - do you go through a proxy or VPN service? If so stop using them on this occasion.
Is the certificate to secure.crypticstudios.com showing as valid? You can check this using the address bar. It usually turns green if it is valid or red if it is invalid.

Best bet would be to try downloading Google Chrome (download and install) failing that try the following in Firefox with addons disabled.
If it still does not work try using a different computer with another internet connection. This will allow us and you to determine if the problem is with your computer configuration, browser related, internet connection related or account related.
Hopefully it is one of the formers rather than the latter as you will be at the mercy of Cryptic support replying back to your ticket if it is an account issue. Never heard or experienced of an account issue like this; it's a remote possibility so fingers crossed it is simply a browser / configuration issue. Try it and let me know if it works for you.
username and passwords are typed in manually.
I use Avast and I'm not sure how to check if its deleting cookies.
I dont know what a proxy or VPN are
As far as I can tell the certificate is good.
I tried Firefox with add-on's disabled and got the same result.
I have never had this problem with any other game where I have made a purchase online before.
I am assuming its an issue on my end, a browser setting or something has been changed and I simply dont know enough to know where to look to find it.

Perhaps we on the forums can help. Is this when you try to login to the website? If it is try downloading Chrome or checking firefox has scripts enabled. Try here http://support.microsoft.com/gp/howtoscript and here if you need instructions http://mistered.us/tips/javascript/firefox.shtml.
Try this link to see if it lets you enter your username and password http://www.startrekonline.com/support/billing. This page *should* let you login.
Once logged in, via the "Login" button on the top right of the website, Click on "My Account".

Try logging in directly into the secure system: https://secure.crypticstudios.com.
Does the same thing happen?

You have two choices as I can see it:
Download and install Google Chrome http://www.google.com/chrome. Install it and try to get on the site. Try it as soon as your download it.
Try a different computer with a different Internet connection.
I wouldn't recommend changing anything on your computer if your unsure what to do.
