Aegis and Borg Sets

I haven't had the chance to reach end game on Tribble yet, however, I've read a few disturbing things from other members posted so far.

Can anyone explain if this is true? Has the Aegis set been nerfed? If so has there been a mention of grandfathering the items on Holodeck? What happened to the Assimilated Borg & Breen Absolute Zero sets if anything?

    In looking at the Aegis set via the R&D Progress menu on my Tribble KDF Lt Cmndr 10, I don't think there's been a change.

    These values will reflect a Lt Cmndr 10 captain, but you can compare it yourself to see that it should scale to the current Holodeck statistics for a VA.

    Aegis Hyper-Impulse Engines
    • +10 Starship Combat Maneuvers
    • +12 Flight Speed (Efficient at High Power Levels)
    • +0.86 Flight Turn Rate
    • +69 Flight Speed at Full Impulse

    Aegis Graviton Deflector Array
    • +5 Shield Power Setting
    • +9 Starship Sensors
    • +21 Starship Deflectors
    • +21 Starship Emitters

    Aegis Covariant Shield Array
    • +5 Starship Shield Maintenance
    • +5 Starship Shield Performance
    • 2948 Maximum Shield Capacity (10% Bleedthrough)
    • 67 Shield Regeneration Every 6 Seconds

    I haven't confirmed it myself, but people were saying the Aegis Set had been knocked down to a maximum Mark 9 item. If true, it was hopefully just a side effect of the incomplete crafting system release on Tribble.

    The engines are still MK X, they just sit right between the tier 9 and 11's on the crafting menu. Besides the engines being changed a little, the set is pretty much identical to what's on Holodeck atm.

    Okay looking at Aegis set as a VA on Tribble.

    Engines
    +10 Starship Combat maneuvers
    +11 Speed (efficient at high powers)
    +14 Turn Rate
    +101 Flight speed in Full Impulse

    Deflector
    +5 Shield Power Setting
    +18 Starship Sensors
    +33 Starship Deflectors
    +33 Starship Emitters

    Shield Array
    +5 Starship Shield Maintenance
    +5 Starship Shield Performance
    6971 Shield Capacity with 10% bleedthrough
    158 Shield regen per tick

    That is what the Tribble Aegis set looks like at VA.

    One of the oddities of the Aegis set is that it scales to all levels even though only a Rear Admiral can equip it.

    It really wouldn't take much for them to ditch the level requirement on it because it has sliding numbers based on level.

    Would be silly of them to remove or nerf the sets. They need to make more of them, not take away what we have. If the Borg set is missing on Tribble I can garuntee you it is because it is getting an update along with the STFs.

    I just want to know how people will get the borg set.

    are these on advanced and/or elite.

    are they drops or do you buy them with salvage? i assume as no one seems to have found them that they are just not i yet. i cant imagine they would take them away.

    i assume they are going to be elite rewards. i really hope thats not the case as id like to get them on just advanced. then again he might be making tier X, XI and XII versions.

    What type of ship are you in? What you've entered here is what you have with your ship and skill bonuses added, not the base stats.

    The Elite Rewards should substantially outpower the Borg set, which is a Mark X gear whereas the Elite rewards are, I think, Mark XII gear.
