sensor analysis does help end game, however until you reach that point and get sensor scan as an ability it is sometimes very difficult in multiple ship battles for science officers who don't run around in cruisers all the time for everything to handle missions. This is what i propose as a fix.
Use the Doff system to give science officers a better scaling on their debuffing system, make sensor analysis a science officer ability while in space (not a toggle but automatically happening on a target while in red alert). Allow the Doff system to cause the debuff to occur much faster. Say reaching 8 almost instantly etc.
This would fix issues with science officer pvp, with pve missions, with low level missions being overwhelming etc etc.
The imbalance of the officer classes should definitely be fixed before the F2P is launched since it was never fixed during the original beta and Everyone and their cow is playing a tactical now.
